Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) - Buoyed by a mission to redefine customer experience and be the provider of choice wherever energy is consumed, the Ikeja Electric (IE), Nigeria's largest power distribution network, came into existence on November 1st, 2013 following the handover of the defunct Power Holding Company Of Nigeria (PHCN) to NEDC/ KEPCO Consortium under the privatization scheme of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Team Lead, Investigation, Audit Monitoring and Analytics

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Reporting To: Head Internal Audit

Role Purpose

  • This role is responsible for effectively coordinating and ensuring investigations are properly conducted; prompt submission of investigation report to Management and accurate recommendations to prevent re-occurrence of issues negating compliance.
  • Also, to manage and coordinate the monitoring of the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations and the quality of audit reports.

Responsibilities

  • To analyze audit and other business data and turns it into insightful information.
  • Strategically align the Investigation Unit’s objectives with the company’s overall objectives through coordination of investigation and forensic activities.
  • Provide strategic input to the investigation team and ensure they are adequately resourced, trained and supervised.
  • Review and process investigation reports using appropriate risk-based methodology for Head Internal Audit’s approval.
  • Develop pre-emptive strategies that help to identify emerging risks and suggests measures to prevent them.
  • Appear for the department on investigation matters referred to Disciplinary panel and the court of law
  • Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs
  • Ensure follow up of investigation and audit recommendations.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and any other duties as requested by the Head Internal Audit
  • Handle complex investigation cases and issues that are sensitive.
  • Ensure timely resolution of established cases and compliance with set standards.
  • Ensure adequate follow up to ensure approved recommendations are implemented within the agreed timeline.
  • Develop standards and procedures necessary for the effective resolution of misstatements /errors or fraud.
  • Develop audit investigation processes and procedures that guide the operation of the unit.
  • Develop appropriate reporting systems that capture the activities in the unit.
  • Collaborate investigation with appropriate business partners, legal department and security department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field of social sciences.
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant or CIA.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Combination of technical expertise in fields such as auditing, finance, commercial, technical operations
  • Possession of MBA will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years audit experience in a structured organization, 4 of which must be as Lead Investigation and Audit functions.
