Saro Oil Palm Limited is a subsidiary of Saroafrica International Limited ("Saro") an indigenous private sector player with 3 decades of experience in Nigeria. Saro Oil Palm Limited plans to gradually develop an integrated oil palm plantations of up to 22,000 ha with complimentary industrial units of mills and refinery over the next few years.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Store Officer

Location: Orhionmwon, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Store Officer will oversee the day-to-day running of the stores to ensure availability and access to necessary materials and supplies.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for inventory management and stock monitoring.
  • Organize regular/periodic stock count exercises and ensure discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Ensure the store is optimally utilized by constantly reviewing layout, space utilization and material flow to identify improvement areas.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the store; file records as required
  • Ensure the store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the goods and entered the Inventory/Materials Management System.
  • Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
  • Ensure daily records of store transactions are uploaded onto the system on a regular basis.
  • Implement approved HSE policies and procedures for stores safety.
  • Pursue FIFO (First In, First Out) stock administration technique to accomplish no expiry or write-off.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • BA / BSc in any Social Science or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Store Management.
  • Computer literacy is essential. Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications
  • Age Requirement: 25 - 40 years old.

Competencies Required:

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Very good knowledge of inventory planning and management principles and techniques
  • Possess interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP or other planning applications (Preferably Microsoft Navision)
