The NYFN is a strong and vibrant community of partners who through their strategic engagements, investments and influence, foster shared prosperity in Nigeria. The NYFN primarily seeks to build and continuously develop a learning community for young Nigerians and social investors through educational programs and match-making services, so as to inform and enhance the development impact of their activities in Agribusiness.

Description
- The State Coordinator’s responsibilities include establishing short and long-term goals, developing various opportunities to foster the progress of the State chapter, presiding over the workforce, managing budgets, ensuring the proper allocation of resources, and ensuring all departments meet their goals at State chapter level.
- The State Coordinator is responsible for the organisation's accountability to the stakeholders and the public and acts as the face of the organisation.
- We are looking for a strongly motivated State Coordinator to join our organisation and work with our executives to provide exemplary leadership to our members and workforce at NYFN State chapter level.
- To be successful as a State Coordinator, you should have excellent leadership and decision-making skills. You should be innovative and entrepreneurial and have an excellent financial and operational working knowledge. This position reports to the National Coordinator through the Regional Coordinator responsible for the state.
Roles & Responsibilities
Programmes & Project Management:
- Prepare regular reports for NYFN Women National Coordinator
- Organising State programmes and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organisation.
- Developing an evaluation method to assess state programme strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services
- Developing a budget and operating plan for State programmes.
- Develop and controlstate level deadlines, budgets, and activities.
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of programme status to the National programmes Manager throughout a programmes’ life cycle.
Business Operations:
- Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
- Updating and revising plans to increase the State Chapter’s revenue stream and progress.
- Looking for alliances, partnerships, and investment/donor opportunities.
- Developing and communicating goals and objectives to all directorates, coordinators, staff, volunteers, and members of the State chapter.
- Overseeing budgets, staff, and executives and evaluating the success of the organisation at state level.
- Appointing Local Government and Ward Coordinators within your State Chapter through the NYFN policies and procedures.
- Maintaining awareness and knowledge of the State Chapter’s daily finances.
- Analysing budgets and financial reports of the State Chapter.
- Meeting with board members and other executives to assess the direction of the state chapter, develop short and long-term goals, plans, and strategies, and ensure the State chapter’s compliance with the overall NYFN vision and mission.
- Listening to the viewpoints and reports from the Local government & Ward Coordinators making the final decisions.
Partnerships, Sponsorships & Relationships:
- Overseeing the complete operation of the State chapter and ensuring all goals are met based on the NYFN’s National Strategic plans.
- Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
- Create a systematic, process-driven approach to partnership and collaboration management that will promote NYFN vision & mission in the State.
- Collaborate with National Board of Management and the Directorate of Media and Strategic Communication to align State goals with new and existing partner relationships
- Creating and maintaining relationships with the community, government agencies and departments, local and international development agencies and partners and industry leaders for the growth of your state chapter.
Requirements
- 5 years' industry experience
- Financial and operational knowledge of various industries.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- A Master's Degree may be preferred.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, motivational abilities, and the ability to find and retain talented employees.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
