Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN) - Founded by Tope Imasekha, WIN is a female-run, non-profit organisation, that aims to reduce the gender gaps that exist in education, living conditions, economic empowerment and political participation in Nigeria.

WIN is dedicated to positively affecting the socio-economic development of Nigeria through the empowerment of women.

Job Title: Social / Communications Manager

Location: Lagos

About The Job

  • The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping the way our organization is perceived by key audiences.
  • You will drive brand awareness by being involved in all stages of the communications process from concept to message development to result oriented evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • The Communication’s officer will assist the Comm’s Manager for the benefit of the organization.
  • Provide support to the communications manager for the benefits of the organization.
  • Implementation of communications strategies.
  • Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Research and update databases and media lists.
  • Track projects and media exposure.
  • Facilitate effective internal communications.
  • Provide administrative support to programs and internal teams.
  • Draft and edit communications copy (e.g., press releases, publications, social media posts)
  • Blog updates and content writing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Strategic Communications or any other related field with 3 - 5 years quality experience.
  • NGO experience.
  • Understanding of social media metrics (SE0, Web), social media KPIs.
  • Story telling.
  • Awareness and sensitivity regarding gender issues.
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing.
  • Social media and multimedia skills.
