Job Title: Site Maintenance Controller

Location: Osun
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary
The key purpose of the role is to supervise and control site services at the Brewery, which includes:

  • Risk control, control of internal and external environmental factors, building, grounds maintenance, housekeeping and liaison with relevant local authorities in respect of environmental issues and the provision of services.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Site Maintenance:

  • Responsible for Site Housekeeping
  • Responsible for all waste removal to include effluent plant
  • Responsible for clearing Contracts i.r.o. offices and amenities
  • Develops and maintains a landscaping programme for site
  • Responsible for the disposal of by-products
  • Responsible for the upkeep and administration of change rooms.
  • Responsible for running of Pubs
  • Responsible for issuing and controlling of protective clothing
  • Defines methods, such as innovation schemes to optimise the opportunity to minimise wastage
  • Condition Monitoring Manage and co-ordinate overall condition monitoring activities, ensuring that the relevant
  • Problem Solving Where problems have occurred during routine activities, apply the correct problems solving approach to resolve
  • Where required calls in additional resources to assist in problems solving or escalate to the engineering controller for direction
  • Manages the security department
  • External Close liaison with the Department of Environmental Affairs on matters such as water usage, effluent, smoke control etc
  • Liaising with the local city council and peri-urban council on matters such as electricity and water supply effluent discharge etc
  • To supply an investigatory service if and when required to minimise losses
  • Take part, as a functional specialist, in FFA's

Maintain Safe Healthy and Risk-Free Working Environment:

  • Ensure safety, healthy & environmental legislation compliance
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards

Maintain, Repair Brewery Buildings, and Optimize Civil Associated Devices:

  • Plant, equipment, and buildings inspected and maintained through relevant processes
  • Continuously improve (optimize) brewery civil engineering appearance
  • Allocate and plan building and related maintenance tasks
  • Manage budget allocation.
  • Plan and prepare the maintenance jobs and plant relevant building shutdowns
  • Schedules completion - job allocation to artisans / contractors

Work in Team:

  • Communicate effectively in teams
  • Contribute to self and team development

Manage Financial Performance:

  • Support ZBB Maintenance and CAPEX budgeting process
  • Review financial results
  • Identify consumption initiative savings

Budget:

  • Manage allocated building maintenance budget
  • Prepare the annual fabric ZBB Maintenance and CAPEX requirements

Cost Control:

  • Maintenance Cost per Hl to benchmarks
  • Spares stockholding levels
  • Utilities cost Downtime to Brewing and packaging
  • Assist in coaching and sharing of knowledge

Contractors:

  • Manage external sub-contractors on site

Safety:

  • Ensure sub-contractors adhere to safety regulations on site

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of Higher Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil engineering
  • Formal training in Risk Control and management   
  • Some mechanical & civil knowledge
  • Experience in managing people.
