Sales and Marketing Executive at Villa Monument Hotel
Villa Monument Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel and part of the 355 Group. Our hotel is a ritzy property situated in the upscale Victoria Island neighbourhood. The name Villa Monument was born out of a conscious effort to bring a different dynamic to the hotel industry across West Africa and the globe. Each room tells a story of traditions from around the world through its bespoke aesthetic and design.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Sales and Marketing Executive
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing:
- Selling and promoting hotel services and accommodation
- Research and identify new companies or contacts and develop sales leads
- Managing corporate accounts and attending to the needs of clients regarding rooms
- Preparing corporate agreements
- Liaise with the accountant to recover outstanding payments from corporate clients
- Respond to guest feedback on all platforms
- Reviewing customer feedback and resolving any issues to ensure repeat business
- Highlight any outstanding staff from guest feedback and input this information into an excel sheet for Hotel Manager to ensure appropriate recognition
- Developing new avenues to boost sales
- Content creation for hotel promotions
- Data entry experience
- Use in-depth product knowledge to increase sales
- Manage all Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) platform
- Receive and modify bookings on OTA platforms
- Monthly Reconciliation of OTA accounts
- Update and maintain records of bookings and payments
Reservations:
- Review reservation mailbox for incoming requests and bookings about rooms or meeting room
- Manage meeting room in collaboration with Housekeeping Coordinator
- Understand guest needs and upsell additional services or upgrades accordingly
- Managing or modifying guest bookings on request
- Make note of any special requests in guest bookings
- Checking the availability of accommodation on guest’s desired booking dates
- Processing payments and sending confirmation and receipts to guests
- Handle in-coming booking requests online and over the phone
- Ensuring enquiries become confirmed business
- Create and forward quotations and Pro-forma invoices to guests
- Assist in maximizing room revenues through effective utilization of room rates and promotional packages
- Making guest reservations based on their requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Marketing or relevant field required
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience working in sales, marketing or public relations, preferably in the hospitality or travel industries
- Experience with hotel Property Management Software (PMS)
- Top Negotiation Skills

- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus

- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of the local languages is an asset
- Resourceful and able to meet guest needs
