Job Title: Risk Officer

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Risk officer to join our risk management team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that may impact our financial well-being and reputation.
• The Risk officer will work closely with various departments to ensure that our risk management practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and non-financial risks
• Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management
• Collaborate with departments to ensure risk-informed decision-making
• Develop and maintain risk models and monitoring tools
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Provide risk training and awareness programs for employees
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging risks

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CRMP)
• At least 3 years of experience in risk management in a finance company

Nice to Have:

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field
• Experience with risk management software and systems
• Knowledge of data analytics.
