Job Description:

Assist in carrying out field survey to validate farmers Agro-ecological knowledge Participate in the implementation of the capacity building plan at farmers and extension officer level, NGOs and NARS technician involved in the project Assist MSc and PhD student in trials and experiment to develop a screening protocol for nutrient use Assist in the field the implementation of participatory evaluation of ISFM interventions by production system in Ghana and Nigeria Assist the production of clean planting material of mapping population and elite varieties selected as NUE Assist the scaling up of the best combination of selected varieties and ISFM intervention Assist the implementation of plot with ISFM Elicit and collect from yam trials for ISFM and farmers participatory evaluation Perform all other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

  • NCE/OND in General Agriculture
  • Minimum experience of Five (5) years in a similar position
Skills & Abilities:
  • Good knowledge and experience in managing field and lab experiments
  • Demonstrated ability to establish field and lab experiments
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural close interaction with NARS, NGO’s extension officers and farmers
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
