Our debut service is “buy now, pay later” where we allow formal & informal sector workers, and SME owners to purchase a variety of products and equipment for their homes and businesses but instead of paying for the products in full upfront, pay a small amount over time.

Job Title: Learning and Development Officer

Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a “Learning & Development Officer”. This is a role where you will report directly to the People Excellence Manager. In this capacity, you will be responsible for determining the learning needs of operation staff and implementing the training from the needs assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Implement routine performance audits across Altara’s business units
  • Determine the learning needs of operations staff by implementing training needs assessments (TNA) for the core operations units as required
  • To design needed training and other learning projects with the performance objectives in mind
  • Execute / facilitate needed training and other learning projects
  • Supervising and monitoring progress made through training implemented
  • Evaluating training outcomes
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the People Excellence Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree / HND in related discipline with at least 2 years experience.
  • Proven experience in training and development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Great attention to details
  • Ability to think through business performance issues critically and analytically
  • Commitment to process improvement.
  • Great at time management, multitasking, and prioritizations skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • The primary focus of this position is to generate revenue, drive channel penetration and improve brand visibility for the Company.
  • Sourcing for possible clients.
  • Manage the sales of products in a professional manner.
  • Create awareness for the company’s products.
  • Administer and ensure compliance to all sale objectives.
  • Monitor all customer queries and ensure timely response to all issues.
  • Coordinate with customers and provide various company plans and services and detail quote for all required information
  • Document and maintain all records of sales activities and provide updates as per requirement.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of all sales tools and resources
  • Achieving the assigned target in terms of sales and revenue.

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Locations: Oyo (Ibadan, Ogbomosho, Oyo Town)

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a “Junior Accountant”. This is a role where you will report directly to the Internal Accounting Analyst. In this capacity, you will be responsible for providing the financial results of the company.

Responsibilities
Further responsibilities include:

  • Bookkeep, prepare, and record journal entries.
  • Track income and expenses, and be able to prepare detailed revenue and expense reports when necessary.
  • Complete monthly bank and revenue account reconciliations.
  • Interface with managers and executives concerning questions and issues.
  • Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
  • Daily reconciliation of accounts.
  • Assist with monthly end Reconciliation of accounts (Purchases, sales, inventory, expenses, transfers, payments, deposits).
  • Work to continuously improve accounting/finance procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • 1 year+ of working for a consumer finance company, Microfinance Company or a bank.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and facial interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.

  • Familiarity and experience using accounting technology programs.
  • Familiarity with tax accounting for finance companies in Nigeria, highly required.
