We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Yola, Adamawa
About the Job
- The incumbent will oversee the support function including the overall Ngala Office, Guest House and Office, coordinate with stakeholders on ground and support program team as necessary. The positions work closely with Roving Admin Assistant, roving finance and logistics and reports directly to the Logistics Manager in Maiduguri.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Prepare the bank transfer instructions for suppliers’ payment for Yola/Mubi office.
- Collect financial information from program team for the forecast purpose
- Prepare the monthly cash flow forecast and send it to the Senior Accountant Officer/finance Manager.
- Receive, check the eligibility of invoices presented in payment, identifying mistakes and missing documentation to be completed in compliance with DRC procurement procedures and budget monitoring;
- Check the justification of operational advances before making payment and ensure of the settlement in a reasonable time.
- Ensure monthly scanning of the accounting documents and save them on finance hard drive and drop box.
- Update monthly the scan report and share it with the Senior Accountant Officer and Finance Manager.
- Ensure that the withholding taxes is well calculated, recorded in the cash book and paid at monthly basis.
- Participate in audits preparation/execution (compilation of audit requirements)

Job Title: IT Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
The Position
- Works under the direction of the Logistics Manager; the position is responsible of the oversight of all the ICT function of DRC Borno and Yobe state
- This position requires excellent customer service and organizational skills to support administrative personnel, program managers, staff, and field staff; requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments.
Key Roles
- Planning, designing, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications and domains.
- Monitor the internet connection and bandwidth ensuring that Service Level Agreements are adhered to for Borno and Yobe State.
- Safeguard DRC data by use of security policies and procedures and implement a backup and recovery procedure.
- Implement capacity building plan, including budget, in participatory way, which should include various methodologies, including mentoring, training and advice.
- Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
- Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement liaising with the procurement and logistics manager.
- Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
- Maintains excellent communication with staff in all field offices on support related to Internet
- Creates and maintains good technical documentation.
- Advice on new technologies and draw plans for implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Cashier
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
The position
- The Cashier reports to the Snr. Finance Officer in Maiduguri. She/He provide Support in term of field payments and she/he is responsible for archiving all the finance documents. She/he serves as back up to finance assistance in regard to cashbook entries She/he Works within the financial procedures of DRC, municipal policies and procedures and in compliance with all national acts and legislation. The Cashier supports the Senior Finance Officer with reports for senior management in country.
Key Roles
- Ensures that all documents are correct before paying;
- Ensures that payment request / receipts are properly documented
- Ensures that payments correspond to receipts and payment requests;
- Ensures that payment requests are duly signed;
- Ensures that the cash box is ready for inspection at any time;
- Assists the Field Finance assistant for paying daily hires wages
- Reports any unbalance
- File vouchers organized by month as per DRC requirements
- Cross check the quality and completeness of support documents
- Highlight any missing documents and communicate to Snr.finance officer
- Print the monthly cover sheet and attach to related documents
- Scanning of all financial documents
- Ensure that the voucher are named and saved as per DRC procedures
- Any other task assigned by the AM or Snr. Finance Officer.
Key Requirements
Essential:
- Technical College (Govt. approved) diploma in Finance/Accounting/Commerce/Business Administration
- At least 1-2 years’ work experience in field of finance/accounting/book keeping in an NGO or the commercial sector.
- Hands-on experience/skills in MS Excel (experience in working with formulas)
Education:
- University degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce/Business Administration.

Job Title: Human Resources & Administrative Officer
Location: Mubi, Adamawa State
About the job
The HR Admin officer will conduct all HR tasks and maintenance of staff information. He/She will work within the HR administration procedures of DRC, municipal policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all national acts and legislation. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Ensure monthly time sheets are correctly filled by staff including expatriate staff, approved by Line Supervisors in coordination with Finance Department and forward to HoFA on or before 10th of following month.
- Coordinate with Head of Base on Annual Leave, sick Leave forms, review for correctness (for approval, availability of leave), update the data base for leave and file in staff personal files. (Coordination from Head of departments, HoB, and support/training from HRA Officer CO/ HR Manager).
- Ensure all staff taxes and legislative obligations are done on time as per the government deadlines. (Constant contact with department of labour).
- Ensure all administrative matters are properly followed up and legally standing according to the Nigerian legal systems/requirements Keep track, record and properly manage the issue and letters which DRC gets from governmental departments.
- To ensure staff requiring Visas and other legal documents are organized in timely manner. Filing of all project related documents and development of a transparent and efficient filing system of all administration records as per DRC filing procedures
- Follow up with Line supervisors and ensure the Performance (Probation) objectives are set and filed within two weeks of the appointment date.
- Ensure all staff are given the contracts (along with the required attachment) & DRC ID cards on the first working day and staff information data is filled and filed. Follow up with the staff and obtain file one copy of staff contract along with the attachment in personal file.
- Ensure all staff personal files are updated according to the checklist/DRC procedures on constant basis.
- Ensure all staff complete the Induction (as per the DRC induction checklist) before sent to work.
- Prepare the monthly Payroll Leave Schedule for national staff.
About you

Job Title: Protection Information Management Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Contract type: National contract
The Position
- Within the scope of DRC’s Protection projects, the PIM Officer will be responsible for the supervision of the protection data collection, entry, and management activities, including formatting, creating and properly storing hard and soft-copies, data forms and data bases.
- The PIM Officer will also be responsible for the analysis of the collected protection data and the drafting of relevant reports, under the supervision of the Protection Manager and the Protection Coordinator.
Responsibilities
The PIM officer’s responsibilities include:
- Ensure the collection of Protection data in line with the PIM process, and the sensitive data management standards
- Ensure the safe protection data management (create and maintain confidential data bases, manage hard copies in Maiduguri and field offices)
- Create and maintain relevant data bases and information management systems for the Protection activities
- Create and maintain adequate information collection systems, in cooperation with the M&E department, the Protection PM, and the Protection Coordinator
- Analyze the collected data and identify critical protection trends in areas of operation
- Contribute to relevant protection reports and evidence-based advocacy notes (Protection Monitoring reports, targeted advocacy notes etc.).
Key Requirements
Essentials:
- 3 years work experience in a humanitarian organization
- 2 years hands on experience in data entry, data analysis, and quantitative and narrative report preparation
- Excellent communication skills (oral and writing)
- Professional fluency in English and Hausa
Desirables:
- Knowledge of the protection activities
- Previous experience with Protection Information Management / knowledge of the PIM Process
- PIM certification
