The Operations division of Standard Bank is at the very centre of all the bank’s procedures, enabling and optimising our Corporate and Investment Banking activities. We develop prototype concepts into robust, reliable solutions, constantly evolving our existing product range to help the bank maintain a competitive lead with our global clients. We are also in demand as internal consultants to the business, helping to manage the Bank’s assets through effective risk management and control systems. As part of this role we now seek an experienced Quantity Surveyor professional, who will help guide our work to fulfill our ambitious growth strategy |
Position Description•To effectively support Head, Branch Network Expansion in the roll-out of branches, ATMs and other projects at the most cost effective rates without compromising quality.•Provide adequate justification for any variation in costs. |

Required CompetenciesKnowledge• Minimum educational qualification will be a first degree. A post graduate degree or membership of relevant professional body will be an advantage • Should be computer literate. Experience • Minimum of 10 years experience at managerial level in related fields. • Familiarity with local and international best practices in Supply Chain Management and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements. • Knowledge and experience of air conditioning systems, electrical systems, building and ground maintenance and equipment repair • Working knowledge of the various federal and states’ government regulations, statutes and codes regulating construction, installation, fire, safety and sanitation. • Robust experience in managing relationships with contractors, service providers and vendors. |
