Job Title: Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Lead Auditor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • To plan, manage, implement and monitor all quality management systems and processes on site. The successful professional will help drive a positive QSHE culture and agenda within the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the MS deployment projects including ESMS, QMS, OHSMS & IMS.
  • Support and manage technical conformance audits and studies including MS internal audit, PIAR, EIA, EER.
  • Oversee and manage the MS deployment projects including ESMS, QMS, OHSMS & IMS.
  • Improve and update our current ISO 9001:2008 standard to 9001:2015 and will implement ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 systems going forward
  • Evaluate and analyze quality issues in any of our Projects and introduce corrective and preventive actions
  • Liaise with management and staff to ensure continued QHSE integration into core operations
  • Plan, organize, direct and control all activities related to the quality system including meetings, training and updating documents and records for all aspects of the systems;
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring that the business is legally compliant at all times.
  • Implement periodic gap analysis and identify hazards and opportunities for enhancing quality, health, safety, environmental and compliance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory HSE requirements
  • Monitor and ensure that all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation is complied with and ensure a safe working environment for all team members within a busy service environment. 
  • Identification and coordination of interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to ensure necessary support to enable delivery of the projects.
  • Preparation of the master audit schedule, audit implementation and management of follow up for corrective actions.
  • Evaluate, analyze quality issues and implements systems to identify, track, report and reduce or eliminate non-conformities;

Qualifications / Requirements 

  • Minimum of Bachelors in an Engineering course or Health, Safety and Environment field of study.
  • 3-5 years experience working in a similar audit position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Good analytical skills and ability to think critically
  • Good public speaking and leadership skills
  • QMS and HSE Certified (NEBOSH, IOSH general certificate or equivalent)
  • In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g, OSHA/EPA) and procedures
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
