The company core area of operation is to provide a broad spectrum of services ranging from Engineering, Pipeline & Flowline Construction / Repairs, Facility piping and maintenance, Wellhead & Christmas tree maintenance and servicing, Composite wrap technology, Equipment & Offshore/Marine Supplies etc

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Project Manager is expected to lead the planning of project activities, including the development of execution plans, the allocation of resources, the utilization of assets and materials, the preparation of sub-contracting strategies, the assessment of man-hour required for the entire project life span.

Responsibilities

  • Analyses tender and contractual documents in order to review scope of work and schedule and to identify project requirements and constraints.
  • Preparation of project budget/cost estimate of project management, constructions and services, including staff, manpower, construction equipment/consumables and subcontracts.
  • Review purchase requisitions in line with technical and commercial evaluations within his field of competence.
  • Ensure materials and equipment availability for project
  • Coordinate the technical close-out of the projects.
  • Ensure proper project documentation
  • Conducts post project closures, final reports and lesson learnt.
  • Assist the business development team in the selection of the reference sub-contract quotation to be included in the bid cost estimate.
  • Follow up interfaces among engineering, procurement, construction, Quality and HSE.
  • Managing change orders, claims and technical queries.
  • Coordinating the invoicing activity.

Engineering activity planning:

  • Capability to plan discipline engineering activities and documentation deliverables in order to meet projects schedule milestones considering design workflows and engineering interfaces with all other project disciplines and functions capability to manage dynamic changes due to endogenous and exogenous factors.

Engineering standard codes and regulations for resolution of nonconformity:

  • Knowledge of main engineering standard Codes and Regulations in order to support and manage the resolution of Engineering Non-Conformity (NCR) at site supporting construction and / or Fabrication activities effectively interfacing project Team, Client and Vendors

Erection sequences and production methodologies:

  • Knowledge of erection sequence and production methodologies in order to minimize HSE Hard (working at height, working in confined spaces, etc) duration of activities in respect of time and cost constrains

Fabrication and installation techniques:

  • Familiarity with fabrication and installation techniques in order to ensure effective inter-function relationship- interpret project requirements- correctly defined the quality and timing of engineering deliverables, correctly define the required corrective actions and updating of engineering deliverable to support fabrication at site.

Personnel coordination:

  • Capacity to define team members overall roles and responsibilities and enhance individual skills ensuring the best performance of the team in order to achieve the objectives.
