Job Summary

  • The Project Assistant/Field Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of projects by working directly with beneficiaries and field staff.
  • This role requires a proactive individual with experience in fieldwork, community engagement, and administrative support within the non-profit or healthcare sector.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of project activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of field operations.  
  • Provide administrative support to project teams, including documentation, data collection, and report preparation.  
  • Engage with community members and beneficiaries to facilitate project activities and gather feedback.  
  • Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions, workshops, and community outreach events.  
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements during field operations.  
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups, to enhance project impact.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor project progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to project guidelines.  
  • Collect and analyze data related to project outcomes and provide insights to project teams.  
  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, including attendance, resource usage, and beneficiary interactions.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field.  
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fieldwork or project support, preferably within the non-profit or healthcare sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse and challenging environments.
  •  
  • Strong understanding of community engagement and field operations.    

Skills and Competencies:  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools.  
  • Experience in report writing and data analysis.  
  • Proficiency in Hausa language is an added advantage. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.  
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
