Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children with special needs, with a particular focus on those diagnosed with or show symptoms’ of Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD. We are committed to providing support, resources, and opportunities for these children to thrive. As we continue to expand our reach, we are seeking a strategic and experienced Social Media and Content Strategy Manager to lead our team.

Job Title: Program Therapist

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Implementing behavior-analytic programs designed to support children with special needs.
  • Participating in the assessment and evaluation of children's behavior and progress, with a focus on personalized learning and development.
  • Providing one-on-one therapy to children, focusing on skill development and behavior management, tailored to each child's individualized educational curriculum
  • Collecting and recording data on children's progress and behavior during therapy sessions.
  • Collaborating with the therapy team, educators, and parents to ensure consistent and effective implementation of individualized therapy programs.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Compassionate and empathetic mindset, with a genuine interest in making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs through personalized education and therapy.
  • Completion of relevant training programs or certifications related to therapy for children with special needs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, preferably in a special needs or therapy environment, with an understanding of individualized curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.
