About the Role
- We are currently looking to build out our Product team to support the development and management of new and innovative products including our very own chatbot Indy.
- This is an exciting role and you will have the opportunity to make a real impact to our product roadmap and strategy.
- You’ll work closely with our Senior Technical Product Manager in driving the evolution of our products and features and enabling new ways to provide value to our customers.
- You’d need to be highly analytical, have a good understanding of product management frameworks and must be hungry for new challenges.
- Right away, you’d be working on different tasks and problems including identifying new product opportunities, creating product metrics, conducting user research and building design flows with our technology team.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Junior PM looks like this:
- Coordination: You will be involved in all phases of the product life cycle, from planning to release. You will work with the Senior Technical PM with keeping track of deadlines and making sure everything is running smoothly between the other teams (design, technology, QA, Developers), and with the rest of the stakeholders (management, business development, customer experience, marketing, etc.).
- Research & Market Intelligence: You will take part in gathering data on the competitor landscape, our users and staying up to date on banking and finance trends in the technology space.
- Data Analytics: You will perform recurrent analysis on the usage of the product and extract key insights for the improvement of the product. You’ll also be responsible for analysing important customer data points as well as information about our competitors.
- Reporting: You’ll be required to present key findings on various product success KPIs including findings on defects, improvements, status updates and risk management.
- Documentation: You will document user stories and use cases for new features or enhancements in the product. You will also support the documentation of product release notes for both internal and external communication.
- Information Hub: To perform well in this role, you’d need be a sponge; soaking up bits of information about our core business, products and features. You’d need to act as a source of all things related to our products and our business to be able to provide information when and where needed across multifunctional teams to help them make key decisions that may impact overall product and business goals.
Requirements

- You’re great at using Product & Project Management Tools including any of the following: Trello, Clubhouse(now shortcut), Asana, ClickUp, Jira, Aha!, Microsoft Planner, Whiteboard and/or Kanban Boards.
- You’re familiar with any of these design tools including Figma, Invision, Sketch & Adobe XD to conduct reviews and give constructive feedback to the design team.
- You’ve been told you’re a highly creative person and have the ability to solve complex problems.
- You have zero to two years’ experience in product management or in a similar role around software development and information technology. No product management experience is required however, we’d ideally want someone who had taken a previous course understanding Product/Project/QA/ Risk Assessment/Agile and/or Software Development methodologies.
- You are a driven, ambitious individual who’s excited about working in Product Management and looking to build their career at an exciting very-fast-growing banking startup.
- You’re highly research oriented and able to collect and analyse user feedback and useful product data.
- You have strong attention to detail and can deliver effectively against tight deadlines.
- You’re friendly and able to work well with others: This role is highly collaborative, and we’d prefer someone who is able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

- You’re not open to the pressures of building at a startup – For this role, we need someone who’s a self-starter and extremely passionate about innovatingand building new products in a fast paced -high pressured environment.
