Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Locations: Lagos

Job Overview

  • As a Procurement Specialist, you will be key in sourcing, evaluating, and procuring technical equipment and services required for our operations.
  • Your engineering expertise in electrical or mechanical fields will be instrumental in understanding the technical specifications and ensuring alignment with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify procurement needs and develop specifications.
  • Source, evaluate, and select electrical and mechanical components, equipment, and services suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities.
  • Provide technical support during the evaluation of bids and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and innovations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the oil and gas or energy sector.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications for electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
