Procurement Head Vacancy in an Oil and Gas Services Company


A Nigerian Oil and Gas Services Company is looking to fill some vacancies on some upcoming construction and installation projects. We are looking for technically proficient, highly motivated and adaptable individuals,
who can work within a team structure and deliver results set by the Management and project team.

Job Title: Head of Procurement (USG007)

Location: Warri, Port Harcourt and Lagos


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • University degree with a minimum of 7 years related working experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity in the oil and gas industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook), Networking Applications and web based applications
  • Master degree or professional certification in Supply Chain Management an added advantage
  • Demonstrated conceptual and practical understanding of material and equipment procurement
  • Experience in the use of ERP solution systems, preferably with SAGE

Duties
  • Coordinate all procurement activities for the company
  • Ensure compliance by all staff with Company’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Ensure purchase order terms and conditions are fit for purpose.
  • Maintain commodity knowledge and experience in terms of standards, specifications and supply sources.
  • Provide commercial advice to Commercial Director and team members.
  • Responsible for the regular review, as may be required of the Procurement Standard Operating Procedure
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Management on matters relating to procurement.
  • Maintain detailed procurement data for corporate, project and departmental budget analysis.
  • Ensure commercial benchmark, excellence and value for money in all procurement activities.
  • Ensure timely analysis of tenders and make sure commercial decisions are based on total life cycle cost.
