Comestibles is a digital food supply chain platform that satisfies the timely need for food by people, ensuring that people never run out of food or consume a lot of time trying to source food. We help consumers automate their food purchases using our digital food marketplace that connects food consumers to chefs, restaurants, and farmers, together with our scheduling system. Our vision is to enable quick and easy access to food across Africa and create a more organized and accessible market system.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement and Packaging Officer

Locations: Lagos and Ibadan, Oyo
Slots: Ibadan (2 positions), Lagos (1 position)

Job Description

• Purchase of all farm produce and grocery items from orders.
• Packaging of purchased items according to purchase requests and orders.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
• Develop plans for purchasing and packaging equipment, services, and supplies.
• Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
• Acquire vendors/supplies of all possible farm produce and grocery items.
• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers.

Requirements

• OND, HND, B.Sc Degree or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement/purchasing processes, policies, and systems.
• Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts with vendors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and MANAGE TIME efficiently.
• Accurate and precise attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience as a procurement officer or related position.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Ability to analyze problems and bring up better solutions.
