We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: PHP Programmer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities
The PHP programmer will be responsible for the writing of PHP computer programming language codes as required; maintenance of the Tangerine Learning Management System (LMS) and deployment solutions for clienteles of Zercom Systems Nigeria Limited:

• Write codes in PHP programming language.
• Maintain clients’ Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Develop quality assurance and testing tools
• Development and designing of Web APIs.
• Engage in the deployment of developed solutions on the client site.
• Advice the Management on technical issues.
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP Modules
• Integration of data storage solutions
• Troubleshoot to solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
• Fix all bugs that might occur on the Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Writing of backend codes for consumption by a mobile application.

Qualifications / Specifications
Educational Background:

• B.Sc or HND in any discipline, a first degree in an IT-related discipline is an added advantage.
• Must have completed the mandatory one-year NYSC.

Requirements:

• B.Sc in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a PHP Programmer
• In-depth knowledge of PHP programming language; excellent ability with writing codes with object-oriented programming method.
• An excellent debugging skill.
• Ability to design APIs for consumption by mobile applications.
• The capability to use the git versioning tool is a plus.
• An understanding of databases and their query languages, JSON, XML, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.
• Capability to write efficient database queries using JOINS
• Knowledge of Codeigniter
• Proficiency in any other PHP frameworks is a plus.
• Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript languages.
• Ability to write clean and efficient codes to achieve the desired goal.
• Ability to interpret and follow technical plans

Location:

• The position will be located at Victoria Island.
• Candidates living within the Island and its environs such as Surulere, Lekki, Ajah, Yaba, Ikoyi, Lagos Island may be at a higher advantage.
