We are recruiting to fill the positions below:
Job Title: Logistics Platform Deputy Program Manager
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
General Objective
- To address logistics needs of humanitarian actors working in North-East Nigeria, PUI is providing partners with a logistic platform.
- Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Platform Program Manager, the Logistics Platform Deputy Program Manager is responsible for the qualitative and timely management of the Logistics Platform project in Maiduguri.
- The Logistics Platform delivers free of charge services to the Humanitarian Community of Borno State, namely: temporary storage of cargo, dispatch of cargo to Maiduguri heliport, repacking of kits, logistics trainings
Supervision:
- Under the supervision of: Logistics Platform Program Manager
- Supervision of: Logistics Platform team (Head of storekeeper, Cargo Assistant, Warehouse officer, storekeepers, cargo handler and daily workers)
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Programs: He/She is responsible for the activities (receipt, storage, and dispatch) in compliance with the procedures and logistical tools.
- Human Resources: He/She will manage the Logistics Platform team (PUI employees and any daily workers).
- Logistics and Administration: He/She will take part in the management of the logistic and administrative aspects of the project
- Representation: He/She will represent the association to local partners and authorities.
- Safety and Security: He/She will assist in following safety and security rules on-base and will transmit all safety and security information to his/her supervisor.
Specific objectives and linked activities:
- Ensure the implementation and the monitoring of Logistics Platform project:
- He/She organizes schedules and coordinates the Logistics Platform activities and the team’s work on a weekly basis.
- He/she monitors closely the implementation of activities
- He/she ensures the timely implementation of the project(s).
- He/she shares about the work progress with the Program Manager on a daily basis or when needed.
- He/she actively takes part in the monitoring of the results achievements and indicators as per indicated in the logical framework.
- He/she ensures that all project(s) documents are correctly filled and filed.
- He/She Give an expertise and contribute to the improvement of activities through critics, analysis and suggestions.
- He/She participates in the needs assessments in collaboration with the Program Manager to develop other projects and takes part in the definition of new program’s strategy and proposal writing.
Manage the operational team:
- He/she participates to the recruitment process of the Logistics Platform team members under his supervision.
- He/she ensures the administrative HR management of his/her team (daily attendance, leaves management) in collaboration with the HR department.
- He/she ensures that his/her team complies with PUI internal rules
- In collaboration with the Program Manager, he/she ensures a regular evaluation process for his/her team with definition and follow-up of clear objectives
- He/she supports his/her team in building their capacities (Day to day sharing of knowledge and experience, organize training sessions for the Supervisors and Field Officers, develop any pedagogical and methodological tools adapted to the local context…)
- He/she ensures a good communication, coordination and information level within the team through regular coordination meetings, formal reporting (or other if needed).
Manage the logistical and financial aspects of the project:
- He/she defines the needs in materials and tools regarding the project and activities
- He/she ensures the follow-up and the proper use of materials and tools used by his/her team.
- He/she manages the supply of materials to the work site in collaboration with logistics department.
- He/she takes part in the financial follow-up of the project with the Program Manager.
- He/she contributes to the management of the cash forecast of the project in link with the Program Manager.
Represent PUI and ensure proper reporting:
- He/she participates in the different working groups and meetings related to his/her field of work.
- He/she ensures representation of PUI among partners, donors and different authorities for the areas which he/she is responsible for.
- He/she provides weekly and monthly internal reporting on activities according to PUI internal tools.
- He/she takes part in external reporting according to the needs (reports to local authorities, donors) in coordination with the Program Manager.
- Report immediately any delay, problem or other relevant information to the Program Manager.
Follows and implement safety and security rules:
- He/she actively contributes to the security analysis in the field and ensures that all measures have been taken and rules followed to ensure security on-site.
- He/she complies with PUI security and safety rules and ensures that the Logistic Platform team understands and complies with them.
- He/she analyses the security situation in the area and inform the Program Manager in case of security incidents, rumours or any security information.

Requirements
Language skills:
- Fluent in English and Hausa
Education degree:
- University Degree in Logistics or another relevant field.
Work experience:
- At least 1year experience in the logistics field
- Previous experience in an international NGO is a strong asset
- Experience of team supervision is a strong asset
Computer skills:
- Proficient knowledge of the MS Office software with a focus in Excel
Other:

Job Title: Food Security Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
General Objective
Under the direct supervision of the Food Security Supervisor, The FS Officer is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of the Food Security and Livelihood activities.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Implementation and Monitoring of the Food Security Activities:
- S/He implement the daily food security and livelihood activities according to the schedule.
- Respect the planning and set-up of the activities
- S/He takes part in the identification and registration of beneficiaries
- S/He contributes to the identification and registration of suppliers/ vendors on the market and to the monthly market assessment
- S/He actively takes part in the post distribution monitoring activities
- S/He collects any relevant information from the communities and partners
- Participate to all assessments for the projects or for new projects
- Analyze the humanitarian situation, taking protection problems into consideration/Do no Harm to the population.
Community Mobilization:
- Ensure that beneficiaries and local populations understand the project goals and agree with the implementation process
- Actively participate to the good collaboration with local leaders
- Act as a liaison with the local population and authorities in order to identify the needs, grievances and major events that could have potential consequences for PUI activity
- S/He ensures the proper training and supervision of the community’s volunteers who take part in the project
- S/He organizes sensitizations for the beneficiairies or community’s members according to the identified needs
Reporting:
- Report to the FS supervisor on the progress of activities and specific tasks assigned, problems encountered, the quality of relations with beneficiaries.
- Collect, enter and analyse the necessary data according to the need of the project
- Extract and pass on statistics to the team supervisor, deputy program manager amd/or program mangaer
- Keep monitoring tools and files archived at the PUI office, ensuring their availability to his/her FS&L supervisor and PM
- Pass on any information or problems to his/her direct and/or indirect supervisor concerning his/her task, PUI programs, or safety aspects
Logistic & Administration:
- Under the responsibility of the FS supervisor, take part in logistical and administrative organization, planning, and preparation of the projects.
- Ensure the follow-up and the proper use of materials and tools used during on-site works

Job Title: Nutrition Education Officer
Location: Borno
General Objective
- Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Education supervisor, the Nutrition Education Officer will help organize and undertake Nutrition Education/Sensitization and Community screening ac-tivities at community level.
Responsibilities
Implementation and monitoring of the activities:
- S/he will Participate in the identification of eligible project beneficiaries and Community Focal persons.
- S/he will participate in organising Project beneficiaries and Volunteers into groups and other Fora for dissemination of nutrition messages dissemination
- Participate in the planning for and implementation of trainings of the beneficiaries, volunteers and community Focal persons.
- Conduct household surveys, individual follow-ups and monitoring nutrition Education activities
- Train and support nutrition community focal points and Lead Mothers all along the project implementation
- Monitor the work of community volunteers under its responsability
- Prepare Community level sensitization plans and topics in liaison with the supervisor.
- Analyze the humanitarian situation, taking protection problems into consideration/Do no Harm to the population.
- In liaison with supervisor, Disseminate any relevant reporting tools to lead mothers and vol-unteers as may be required.
- Ensure OTP (Out-patient Therapeutic Program) beneficiary defaulter tracing and other forms of beneficiary follow-ups at community level.
- Work with Volunteers and Lead mothers to conduct Community screening and refferals for malnourished beneficiaries.
- S/he will be responsiible for project sensitization and Mobilization at community level.
- In Liaison with supervisor, Organize sensitizations sessions for the beneficiaries or communi-ty members according to the identified needs
- To Reprsent PUI at various SBCC related fora as may be required.
- Participate in assesments as may be required by the supervisor
Community Mobilization:
- S/he will help nurture good collaboration between PUI and local community leaders
- Act as a liaison with the local population and authorities in order to identify the needs, griev-ances and major events that could have potential consequences for PUI activities
- Help to ensure that beneficiaries and local populations both understand the project goals and actively participate in their implementation.
Communication and Reporting:
- Pass on any information or problems to his/her direct and/or indirect supervisor concerning his/her task, PUI programs, or safety aspects
- Address any issues on the field with the beneficiaries or the community members and tell the line supervisor
- Represent PUI at anytime and anywhere when s/he is in duty.
- Collect and Compile data, pictures and information from the field to present weekly internal reports to the supervisor
- Present weekly achievements, problems encountered and suggestion to improve the project implementation.
- S/he will help strengthen the Organization’s community Feedback and complains system.
- Keep monitoring tools and files archived at the PUI office, ensuring their availability to his/her supervisor.
Logistic & Administration:
- Contribute to logistical and administrative organization of the activities
- Contribute to the definition of the needs in materials and tools regarding the program and the planning of interventions.

Requirements
- Language skills: Fluent in English, and Local Dialects: Hausa and Kanuri
- Computer Skills: Proficient user of MS office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Education: certificate in a Health related discipline or certificate of secondary education with at least 3 year relevant experience.
- Work experience: At least 2 years’ experience in SBCC programing at community level
- Demonstrated understanding of infant and Young Child Nutrition SBCC/IYCF educa-tion programs.
- Conversant with Community screening for Malnutrition.
- Previous experience with NGO is required
- Demonstrated understanding of the Ministry of Health and traditional administrative systems and structure.
- Conversant with Formal and traditional administrative systems and structure at the community level.
- Previous experience in food security related programs is an asset
- Community volunteers supervision.
- Previous experience in Humanitarian assessment, monitoring and evaluation is an asset.
