Job Title: Chief Information Officer

Responsibilities

  • Set objectives and strategies for the IT department.
  • Establish IT Policies and Standards.
  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
  • Identify best technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers.
  • Responsible for the Information Risk Management.
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Computer, Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline.
  • A Postgraduate Degree or professional certification in Telecommunication or Engineering Field will be an added advantage.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.

Job Title: Market Risk Officer

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily measurement and reporting of probable losses as a result of market risks inherent in bank’s trading positions in equities and bonds using various metrics.
  • Responsible for daily mark to market of various trading rates and prices.
  • Ensure that all the databases maintained by the department as well as other sources are updated and reflective of market rates/prices.
  • Investigate and report off-market rates.
  • Understand the risks and work with the trading desks to create and monitor a suitable limits structure and propose new limits when necessary.

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

  • A minimum of First Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Statistics, Econometrics or any other Quantitative Discipline e.g. Engineering. Computer Science is desirable.
  • Possession of MBA or M.Sc. in Finance and Econometrics would be an advantage.
  • Possession of relevant Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, FRM, CFA etc.) would be an added advantage.
