We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the vacancies below:
Job Title: Nutrition Officer
Location: Damaturu, Yobe
Scope of Work
- The nutrition officer will be responsible for overseeing all CCDRN health & Nutrition activities in Yobe state.
- And day-to-day supports to Nutritional activities in the health facilities and their catchment communities, monitoring of activities, report making, coordination with other sectors and government authorities as well as close collaboration with other health and nutrition implementing partners.
- The position is based in Damaturu with regular field trips to CCDRN target communities throughout Yobe State and other parts of the northeast as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the state program manager and other program implementation staff, oversee the implementation of Nutrition activities implemented by CCDRN in Yobe.
- Ensure sound data collection and information management systems are in place for ongoing monitoring of health & Nutrition programme activities
- Promote mother infant and young child feeding best practices in CCDRN target communities and participate actively in the implementation of operational research in across these communities.
- Plan and actively involve the community in marking recognised nutrition related days.
- Supervise and coordinate the implementation and monitoring of nutrition project activities in line with proposal targets and work plan timelines
- Conduct regular supportive supervision to all supported health facilities and catchment communities, provide mentoring and technical support and appropriate feedback as needed
- Participate in the design of robust M&E plans and design/adapt Nutrition information systems including surveillance systems for CCDRN health & nutrition programs
- Oversee continuous training programs for the nutrition staff as well as organising training.
- Participate in recruitment of health staff as appropriate
- Identify and train community health workers to support project activities
- Train community health workers, and target beneficiaries on the use of good nutrition and health practices
- Assist in response and management of any nutrition emergencies.
- Follow up on nutrition programs and prepare reports for donors and stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition or Food Science or Advanced Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing with working experience of not less than 3 years in nutrition or related field.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Strong computer skills (proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry/analysis software)
- Minimum of not less than 2 years’ experience in nutrition or related field.
- Demonstrated skills in community mobilisation and facilitation
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and management skills
- Good problem solving and independent thinking skills
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadline and intense pressure to perform.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Willingness to travel to any part of the state

Job Title: Finance & Admin Officer
Location: Yobe, Borno
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain organised files on all project-related materials, reports and documents (program operations).
- Assist to format, edit, photocopy, print and disseminate documents and presentations as required.
- Assist in raising budgets for field activities and programmes.
- Assist in organising, planning and coordinating CCDRN events and logistics for meetings, seminars, workshops and other events.
- Send weekly and monthly reports to the Head Office on state’s office activities.
- Manage the support staff of the state office.
- Prepare the state office monthly financial report
- Maintain the asset inventory of the state office.
- Assist in the procurement activities of the organisation.
- Manage petty cash for the office
- Undertake banking transactions for the office.
- Remit PAYE and WHT to the appropriate tax authorities
- Attend to any other job as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of University degree or HND in Accounting or any Social Science course;
- Attention to details, strong analytical and numerical skills;
- Strong computer skills
- Fluency in both written and oral English, and fluency in local languages
- Strong report writing skills
- Proficiency in writing and editing letters, reports, and documents.

Job Title: Programme Officer
Location: Damaturu, Yobe
Primary Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other program staff to ensure necessary program planning, development and management activities function smoothly and efficiently.
- Collaboratively with state program manager and partners to ensure that resources for effective and timely program implementation are available.
- Work collaboratively with finance staff to prepare and track the progress of project and activity budgets.
- Liaise with state programme manager and M&E unit to prioritise weekly task.
- Conduct advocacy to communities and key stakeholders to fast track programme implementation.
- Work with State Programme Manager (SPM) and HQ to develop project proposals.
- Support the implementation of program activities in the state
- Monitor and report on routine program operational activities and scheduled program events, reporting activity summaries to state coordinator and HQ on weekly basis.
- Collect information on program activities, including beneficiary targets.
- Work with SPM and M&E teams to create and maintain project trackers.
- Conduct training, workshops and seminars to the target groups.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate weekly with the National M&E Officer to determine priority tasks
- Coordinate with the National M&E Officer to Develop Monitoring and Evaluation tools according to CCDRN and donor standards;
- Ensure that the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities in the state are in line with the project’s implementation plan and meets the donor and project’s M&E needs of CCDRN.
- Disseminate findings from evaluations to support organizational learning and contribute to policy processing or development;
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of data collected during formative studies, M&E assignments and operations research activities as needed;
- Coordinate with the National M&E Officer and the state program manager to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate reporting of M&E activities and results to the donor/funder.
- Oversee the activities of data collectors (enumerators) at the state level
- Work collaboratively with other program staff to ensure necessary program planning, development and implementation activities function smoothly and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with staff and partners to ensure that resources for effective and timely program implementation are available.
- Support the implementation of programme activities in the state
- Perform any other duty commensurate with the position.
