of the Strengthening integrated Delivery of HIV/AIDS Services project
whose objective is to reduce the burden of HIV/AIDS in targeted areas of
Nigeria through strengthened delivery of high quality comprehensive
HIV/AIDS services that are sustainable for long-term, Howard University
provides technical leadership in strengthening pharmacy systems and
pharmacists’ capacity to provide high quality HIV/AIDS, STI, and TB
pharmacy services both at the health facility and the community.

Job Title: Human Resource/Admin Officer
Location: Abuja
Job Description
- The Human Resource/Admin Officer will provide operational
support to implement effective functional Human Resources (HP)
processes in team functional areas including recruitment, employee
relations, benefits administration, compensation.
- HRIS and training for Howard University Global Initiative
Nigeria the will also support other administrative functions of the
organization.
Minimum Recruitment Standards
- BA/B.Sc Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or
its recognized equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience; Or
M.Sc/MA Degree in Business Administration Social Sciences or its
recognized equivalent and 1 - 3 years relevant experience in Human
Resource Management System (HRMS) in an international development
organization and familiarity with USAID-funded programs is in
advantage.
Job Circumstances
- The job involves at least 30% local travel at short notice.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to extend working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice
- Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to produce excellent results under pressure
- Ability to use key computing applications e g MS Office Suite etc and knowledge of different database (DHIS or LAMIS) is a plus.
Job Title: Associate Pharmacy Officer
Locations: Rivers and Akwa Ibom
Job Description
- The Associate Pharmacy Officer will provide technical and
programmatic support to strengthen pharmacy systems and build
pharmacists’ capacity on Pharmacy Best Practices including inventory
management and pharmaceutical care within the health facilities and
community under the direction of the Senior Pharmacy Specialist and
Pharmacy Specialists and in collaboration with other partners an the
project.
Minimum Recruitment Standards
- B. Pharm/Pharm D and at least 1 year relevant post NYSC
experience in HIV/AIDS with international pharmacy development programs
AND registration-as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of
Nigeria.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to extend working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice

Job Title: Pharmacy Specialist
Location: Cross River
Job Description
- The Pharmacy Specialist will provide technical and programmatic
support in strengthening pharmacy systems and building pharmacists’
capacity on Pharmacy Best Practices including inventory management and
pharmaceutical care in Anti-retroviral therapy (ART), Prevention of
Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS (PMTCT). Tuberculosis (TB) and
related services.
- S/he will support capacity building of the pharmacy to provide
high quality services in these areas within supported health facilities
and the community.
Minimum Recruitment Standards
- B. Pharm/Pharm D and at least 5 years relevant experience in
HIV/AIDS With international pharmacy development programs: or B. Pharm
plus M.Sc/MPH in Public Health or related field, and at least 2 years
relevant experience in HIV/AIDS with international development programs
AND registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of
Nigeria.
