Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position below:
Job Title: Compliance Officer Location: Abuja Contract Type: Fixed termJob Description
  • Compliance Officer Under the direction of Compliance Manager, the position holder will carry out independent appraisals of the effectiveness of policies, procedures and standards by which AHNi's financial resources are managed.
Minimum Recruitment Standards
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Or MS/MA degree in Accounting. Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 1-3 years relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience in internal control functions.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government grants or other client funded programs, contracting and auditing standards as they apply to effective management of multi-year funds is required.
  • CPA, ACA, CIMA, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is an advantage.

Job Title: Program Officer Location: Adamawa Contract Type: Fixed term Job Description
  • Program Officer Under the supervision of the State Program Manager, will provide support to and coordination of the work of the AHNI state offices program activities.
  • H/She will support program planning, design, review and the monitoring of the program implemented at the field level.
Minimum Recruitment Standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Sciences or Behavioural Sciences, with 5-7 years working experience in development programs at the community level with at least 3-5 years experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation working with public and NGO sectors required.

  • State Program Officer will work with the Senior Program Officer to provide oversight, coordination, monitoring and reporting of all AHNi activities in the assigned state, will also assist in developing and overseeing execution of systems for initiation, implementation, monitoring, amendment and close Out of all SIDHASIAs' sub agreements

Job Title: Technical Officer - Comprehensive HIV and TB Programs Location: Abuja Contract Type: Fixed term Slot: 2 Openings Job Description
  • Technical Office-Comprehensive HIV and TB Programs will provide technical expertise and assistance to the laboratory equipment maintenance services for the SIDHAS laboratory component with primary focus on technical areas of comprehensive TB and HIV/AIDS programs.
Minimum Recruitment Standards
  • B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering, System/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar degree with 5 to 7 years of progressive relevant experience in provision of laboratory equipment maintenance support for TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
  • MSc in Biomedical Engineering, System/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar relevant degree with 3 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in provision of laboratory equipment maintenance support for TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
  • Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and facilitation of training is required.
  • Experience in large and complex donor-funded national health focused project is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public-sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the management of laboratory equipment based on best practices, quality management practices and safe work practices.
  • Proven certification on laboratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting with a track record of supervisory role on equipment maintenance
