Job Title: Programmes Team Project Officer
Post
is pay band 4 (Administrative Support)/fixed term contract for 2

to work and live in Nigeria/post is in Abuja.
The post holder will work with Project Managers in the Programmes
team to manage project delivery across the Nigeria Programmes
portfolio.
The post holder will also support programmes team
activity across the three business areas taking place in Abuja and the

Job Title: Event Manager
Post
sits with the Arts team/Post is pay band 7 (Middle Management)/Fixed
term contract till December 2016/Open to internal & external
applicants/applicants must have right to live and work in Nigeria/Post
is in Lagos.
The post holder will lead on all the event production, management and
delivery linked to the high profile events in the UK NG 15/16
Programme. This position will work directly to the Director Arts Nigeria
and closely with the arts team.
The Arts Events Manager will
deliver high profile, media catching arts events spread across Abuja,
Lagos and Calabar and support external event producers to deliver events
under the UK/Nigeria 2015-16 programme banner.

Job Title: Director Finance Nigeria
Role
is in the Senior Management/Professionals category/Indefinite term

British Council Nigeria is looking for a professional. The individual
will have responsibility for all aspects of strategic and operational
finance in Nigeria, acting as the finance partner to the Country
Director and Nigeria Executive Team. S/he will be responsible for
ensuring the finance strategy delivers growth through new business
operating models, and conforms to the Council’s financial control
standards and the broader corporate and regional objectives, whilst
ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
The post holder will be a key member of the Nigeria Executive Team,
working collaboratively with the UK and regional SSA Finance Teams, and
will actively contribute in the design and implementation of regional
financial strategy.

Job Title: Higher Education (HE) Programme Manager
Post
is pay band 7 (middle management)/fixed term contract for two(2)
years/open to internal & external applicants/applicants must have
the right to live and work in Nigeria/post can either be in Abuja or
Lagos.
The post holder will work with the Director Education and Skills,
other members of the Education and Skills team and Director Programmes
to lead on the development and implementation of the Higher Education
portfolio in Nigeria.
This is a new post, and the post holder will (not limited to)
-Develop and lead our strategic response to opportunities for the UK to
assist the Nigerian Government strengthen the provision and quality of
tertiary education in Nigeria.
-Lead the team implementing the
British Council’s paid Services for International Education Marketing
(SIEM) targeted at UK institutions to support them do business in HE, FE
and independent school sectors and grow the business for the Nigeria
context
-Develop and lead an engagement project, utilising
available and upcoming research evidence, to enable the UK to benefit
from and support the Nigeria Cross Border Higher Education Policy (known
in British Council as transnational education TNE)
