Multimedia Specialist at ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID)
ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) is an international financial institution established by the 15 Member States of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). EBID includes: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
The main objective of EBID is to contribute to the economic development of West Africa through the financing of ECOWAS and NEPAD projects and programs. The headquarters of the bank is in Lome in the Togolese Republic.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Multimedia Specialist
Location: Lome, Togolese Republic
Grade: P1-1
Job Summary
- The key role of the Multimedia Specialist is to conceptualize, process, and produce audio, video, animations, and interactive multimedia collateral for a variety of audiences, platforms, and outcomes for the Communication and External Relations Unit of the Bank in the discharge of its activities.
- The Multimedia Specialist is also responsible for the regular contribution of ideas for stories, photos and other multimedia that are fresh, compelling, and timely and that will meet audience interests and needs.
- The results of the work of the Multimedia Specialist impacts on visibility, brand perception and image of the Bank
- Content sourcing and development; Photography and Videography, Graphic Design and illustration; Website Administration Multimedia studio management.
Responsibilities
- Provide Audio-visual coverage of all EBID meetings, Seminars, Workshops, President's Visits, Courtesy calls, etc.
- Provide audio-visual materials required for illustration and design of bank wide documents and materials
- Organise audio visual materials by captioning, cataloguing, and classifying for usage and archiving in the content library
- Dissemination of audio-visual materials such as pictures and videos to local and international media organizations
- Develop a content library with a database of pictures, videos, infographs etc.
- Create, edit, and manage multimedia content for Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube
- Update website content and review SEO
- Ability to manage expectations and work well with different teams and stakeholders, and ability to work well autonomously
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to create processes along the way
- Film making, digital photography and digital media
- Graphic and Media Design
- Build on existing social media strategies to expand content output and innovate on delivery
- Expand on existing digital strategies and work with Communications team on new content ideas
- Drive production and publication of compelling content for all communication channels
- Apply visual design best practice principles to the design and development of static and interactive elements (graphics, videos, animations, interactive simulations, etc.), while maintaining branding/graphics standards Identify and address the Bank's website requirements and needs
Job Requirements
- Possess a Master's Degree in a relevant field
- Possess graphic design, typography, video, and multimedia development skills; Multi-talented designer of diverse creatives and expressions
- Ability to multitask whiles delivering quality results
- Previous experience in photography, videography, graphic design and website administration
- Apply experience and knowledge with best practices to create accessible web sites and multimedia collateral
- Complete and balance multiple projects demonstrating strong conceptual and analytical skills, planning abilities, and sound judgment
- Knowledge of search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO), and optimized content writing best practices
- Willingly, effectively and proactively communicate and collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and stakeholders
- Must be familiar with current digital best practices and be able to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Knowledge about developing and implementing communication and marketing plans
- Ability to provide effective customer service and to actively listen and appropriately respond to colleague, stakeholder and supervisor needs/requests
- Experience using programs like WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva
- High level of proficiency creating content for and managing.
- Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook YouTube
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to forward plan, schedule and manage priorities
- Proficiency in design programs like Canva and/or InDesign or Photoshop etc.
- Possesses social perceptiveness and orientation to facilitate diverse, inclusive and culturally sensitive working and learning environments to serve global audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for design and proficiency in creating visual and digital content, text, images, video
Other Requirements:
- Be a national of one of the ECOWAS Member States
- Must not be above 45 years at the time of recruitment
- Have sound knowledge of computer tools (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point); Proficiency in oral and written expression in one of the official ECOWAS languages of the Community (English, French or Portuguese). Knowledge of another language will be an additional advantage.
