Job Description

  • We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Live Touring Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. 
  • You will play a vital role in scouting for exceptional new talent, supporting the creative development of our signed artists, and contributing to the future success of Mavin Global.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive tour itineraries, including travel arrangements, accommodations, and ground transportation.
  • Negotiate with vendors and service providers to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies for expanding Mavin’s touring footprint.
  • Develop innovative event concepts and partnerships to increase revenue streams.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the live event industry.
  • Analyze tour and event performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including venues, promoters, and sponsors.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, from venue selection to technical setup.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for artists during tours, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
  • Manage all tour-related documentation, including visas, permits, and financial records.

Person Specification

  • A solid background in events and tour management within the music industry is crucial. Demonstrated success in planning and executing tours is essential.
  • The ability to handle complex logistics, manage budgets, and coordinate multiple stakeholders efficiently is paramount.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for music and the entertainment industry is often a plus.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with artists, venues, promoters, and sponsors is vital for success.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Events Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven passion for Afrobeats and Afropop music, with a deep understanding of the genre’s history, soundscapes, and cultural significance.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Leadership and team-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify new opportunities.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse markets.
  • Professional certifications in event planning or project management (desirable).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in events and tour management within the music industry.
  • Proven track record of successful tour planning and execution.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control for events and tours.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software (e.g., ticketing systems, CRM, project management tools).
