Centre for Population Health Initiatives (CPHI) is an independent, indigenous non-profit organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria to execute health and development programs targeted at vulnerable and marginalized populations, including men, women, and adolescents in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Medical Officer 

Location: Lagos

About the Job

  • The Medical Officer will play a key leadership role in the management of clinical services, drive changes and improvement in line with international best practices, guidelines, and donor’s requirements.
  • The incumbent will support the Senior Medical Officer in the coordination of clinical day-to-day service delivery and support the program in the delivery of programmatic and research activities.

Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with the Senior Medical Officer, ensure the provision of quality evidence-based HIV and STI biomedical interventions in the state.
  • Responsible for the adequate update and management of clinical records of all clients.
  • Support the Senior Medical Officer in ensuring the implementation of all health policies and guidelines in the facility.
  • Implement operational research protocols to answer important questions within the Clinic treatment and prevention programs.
  • Actively contribute to the development of publications based on data generated at the Community Health and Research Centres.
  • Arrange and regularly lead all clinical meetings and ensure all data and information is collected, transmitted, and utilized to benefit the clients.
  • Carry out cervical cancer screening and counselling services.

Qualifications

  • Level of Education –MBBS, Master’s Degree in Health Sciences
  • Practice License with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel within Nigeria.
  • Effective organizational, managerial, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team
  • In-depth knowledge of legal policies and regulations in the healthcare sector
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, added advantage in HIV/AIDS programming in Nigeria.
  • Research/statistical skills is an added advantage.
