Job Description
- We are seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our Supply Chain team in the position of Materials Management Analysts.
- The Materials Management Analyst is a pivotal role within the Supply Chain department, dedicated to optimizing the end-to-end materials lifecycle.
- This position focuses on analyzing, strategizing, and implementing efficient materials management processes, ensuring the timely availability of resources to support Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited's operational objectives and overall success.
- Applicants must be willing to work across multiple locations within and outside the country.
What role you will play in our team:
- Optimizing the end-to-end materials lifecycle focusing on analyzing, strategizing, and implementing efficient materials management processes to ensuring the timely availability of resources
- The role will be primarily located in Onne, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
What You Will Do
- Materials Planning: Develop and implement materials planning strategies to ensure the timely procurement, storage, and distribution of materials in alignment with production and operational needs.
- Inventory Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of inventory levels, turnover rates, and usage patterns to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent shortages or excesses.
- Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors to streamline the procurement process, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities within the materials management process without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze materials management processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supply Chain Visibility: Implement systems and tools to enhance visibility into the materials supply chain, enabling proactive decision-making and mitigating potential disruptions.
- Demand Forecasting: Utilize forecasting models and historical data to accurately predict materials demand, facilitating proactive planning and resource allocation.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that materials meet the required standards, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of end products.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Sciences and Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in warehousing, inbound logistics, delivery expediting, inventory management and procurement in the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, and warehouse best practices.
- Successful history of optimizing warehouse operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in supply chain management, preferably within the energy sector.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
