We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Chief Accountant Reference Code: 20425924 Location: Port Harcourt Employment Fraction: Full Time Department: Finance Job Description Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Authorize and check account coding on invoices
  • Ensure that correct backup is attached to the invoices
  • Balance and update invoice and payment journals
  • Ensure that Purchase ledger and General ledger are in balance for month end To assist Income Audit
  • Support the Accounts Receivable, Credit Unit, General Cashier / Payroll Officer
  • Assist during Month End Closing and Year End Closing as required
  • Reconcile the Balance Sheet monthly
  • Produce Payroll analysis monthly
  • Post all prepaid invoices with the monthly distributions
  • Check monthly accrual
  • Produce intercompany invoices as per the balance sheet on a monthly basis
  • Assist the Director of Finance with budget preparation as required
  • Assist the Director of Finance with forecasting documentation as required
Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting and a Professional qualification (ACA or ACCA) is required.
  • An MBA is an added advantage.
Experience:
  • Seven years in a reputable organization, preferably in an international hotel chain.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SAP, Pastel and other applicable computer systems. Budgetary analysis capabilities required.
Job Title: Storekeeper Reference Code: 20426031 Location: Port Harcourt Employment Fraction: Full Time Department: Finance Job Description Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • To control, record and monitor the receiving of goods at the hotel’s receiving bay.
  • Maintaining records to properly account for issues and inventories and ensuring that established maximum/minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Record receipt of goods on receiver’s report as directed.
  • Ensure goods are promptly and safely delivered to their point of final delivery.
  • Control the flow and movement of goods and personnel in the receiving area and that the Storerooms are kept clean and tidy.
  • Control and record the storing and returning of returnable bottles and crates.
  • Issue goods in accordance with properly authorized requisitions.
  • Receive all goods ensuring that they are in accordance with the delivery notes and purchase orders as to weight and/or quantity and category.
  • Learns the hotel’s fire and safety precautions and how to operate the firefighting equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned on the weekly schedule.
Requirements Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or its equivalent.
Experience:
  • Three years' experience in the same position or similar role is preferred.
Grooming:
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
