Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled Legal Officer to join their dynamic legal team.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact contracts, compliance matters, and strategic legal initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • As the Legal Officer, you will provide critical legal support, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing contracts, and mitigating risks.
  • Your expertise will directly contribute to the organization’s operational integrity and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Legal Research & Advisory: Conduct research on legislation affecting the organization and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement legal policies and procedures aligned with current laws.
  • Regulatory Support: Provide day-to-day legal guidance to internal teams on compliance and risk management.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor and ensure adherence to corporate, oil & gas, and environmental regulations.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage cases filed against the organization, liaising with external lawyers and government offices.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:

  • LL.B (Hons), B.L., or LL.M. from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a Law School graduate.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 yearsof experience as a Legal Officer in oil & gas, marine, or corporate environments.
  • Proven track record incontract negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge ofcorporate law, oil & gas regulations, and environmental compliance.
  • Stronganalytical, negotiation, and communicationskills.
  • Highintegrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
