Job Title: Learning & Development Manager

Job Description

  • As a learning and development manager, you will be responsible for identifying training and development needs within an organization.
  • You would help employees advance their skills and knowledge and work closely with business process team and the human resources (HR) department to design and implement training and development programs.
  • The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping people learn and grow and possess excellent communication skills. Experience designing e-learning courses and managing budgets, that would be an advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Developing employee learning plans
  • Developing and implementing learning strategies and programs
  • Designing e-learning courses, career plans and workshops
  • Creating and executing learning strategies and programs
  • Create a competency assessment model to monitor and review the progress of trainees
  • Evaluating training and development of new and existing staff
  • Helping line managers and trainers solve specific training problems
  • Keeping up-to-date with developments in training
  • Having an understanding of different learning techniques and methods (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
  • Recommending various methods to grow and retain talent.
  • Evaluating individual and organizational training and development needs
  • Assessing the success of development plans and helping employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Helping managers develop their team members through career pathing
  • Maintaining budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants
  • Produce training materials

Requirements

  • B.Sc / BA in Business, Psychology or a related field
  • Certified professional in learning performance (CPLP certification) will give your application and edge.
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manger or a similar position
  • Strong communication and negotiation skillsŁ« with a good ability to build relations with employees and vendors;
  • Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Good knowledge of e-learning platforms and practices
  • Practical experience with MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
