Job Title: Software Engineer II

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting lead engineer with all aspects of software design and coding.
  • Attending and contributing to software delivery meetings.
  • Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
  • Writing and maintaining code.
  • Working on software bug fixes.
  • Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
  • Gathering information from consumers about program functionality.
  • Writing reports.
  • Conducting development tests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Software Engineer.

Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline
  • 3-5 years experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, Javascript, Java, C++, C#), databases, data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge of databases and operating systems
  • Excellent basic knowledge about Information Technology from both a software and hardware perspective.

Desirable:

  • Up to 5 years of professional programming experience using Microsoft stack
  • Relevant professional certifications.

Skills / Competencies:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of coding languages including C#, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB.
  • Basic programming experience.
  • Ability to implement software security measures (OWASP Top 10)
  • Good working knowledge of version control system using gitflow.
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to manage codebase on a version control.
  • Software testing and debugging
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum project delivery formats

Generic Skills:

  • Ability to make sound and logical security judgments.
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to conduct research into issues as required.

Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Lagos

Overview

  • An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and talented scrum master to join a dynamic team. As a scrum master, you will be our go-to person for applying scrum to produce high-quality work.
  • You will coordinate and coach our software development team, helping the team continuously make progress on the project by making sure each person is working on the right tasks, helping to remove any obstacles to the team members’ progress, and protecting the team from distractions.
  • You will guide, coach and motivate the team with the goal of increasing productivity
  • Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies
  • Communicated with main stakeholders
  • Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals and deliverables that support business goals
  • Monitor schedule and cost performance
  • Identify key KPIs
  • Prepare and present reports on the progress and success.

What do you need to be considered for this role?

  • Passionate about Scrum, Kanban , Lean Thinking, Lean Startup , eXtreme Programming, SAFe , LeSS, etc.
  • 5+years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar role in a development team
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Demonstrated experience with agile practices, patterns and techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games etc.
