Job Title: Contract Manager

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The right candidate will be responsible for all contracts management and tendering processes related to current and future projects and internal/general procurement needs.
  • The candidate must have a sound cognate experience in contract planning and scheduling, construction management and modern construction technology.
  • The candidate will also direct the development of plans, procedures and policies that ensure proper control over all contracting transactions, and maintain and update the contracts management manual.

Responsibilities

  • Researching, applying, inviting, preparing and processing tenders, contract documents and project documentation
  • Responsible for keeping track of very deadline, deliverable and other obligations highlighted in contracts
  • Chairing construction progress meetings and coordinating and instructing site inspectors
  • Administrating and agreeing to change control, commissioning and testing and defects reporting procedures
  • Preparing and issuing project-related certificates (practical completion, interim, final, etc.)

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of HND in Building with second class lower division and at least 7 years post NYSC experience in a reputable construction company
  • Possession of an M.Sc degree in Construction Management or MNIOB is an advantage.
  • Experience with drawing up legal documents to outline terms of service and project deliverables ○ Must have relevant experience in procurement/contracts management preferable in construction or civil engineering.
  • Must have in depth knowledge of tender processes and a strong understanding of the legalities of contracts
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with clients and third parties that favors the organization.
  • Must have worked on large scale real estate or construction management projects.

 

 

Job Title: Site Foreman

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Responsible for organising construction works on site and to ensure the health and safety of all personnel on the site.
  • Organizing workers, tools, plant, machinery and materials
  • Supervising construction activities Identifying materials, plant and equipment that may be required or needed Ensuring construction is carried out accurately according to plans and specifications
  • Ensuring the proper coordination of contractor activities
  • Ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and according to the required quality standards Maintain detailed and accurate site reports Train employees and ensure all employees are complying with health and safety standards Work collaboratively with the Site Supervisor and the Project Manager
  • Must have relevant experience in construction Candidates should possess a minimum of OND Building or Trade Cetificate in Mansonry or Carpentry and 5 year cognate experience in a reputable construction company

Salary
N50,000 - N80,000 (Monthly).

 

 



Job Title: Site Supervisor

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Description

  • The role of a site supervisor is to manage and supervise a construction site in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • It is the responsibility of the site supervisor to assess hazards, determine risks, conduct regular inspections, and maintain a safety programme.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently supervise workers, subcontractors and work activities
  • Assess and prepare for all safety hazards, safety briefings and site inductions
  • Ensure appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are adhered to
  • Engage in routine inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements, processes and procedures
  • Raising and resolving any safety concerns and problems
  • Assist in coordinating the delivery of materials, plant and equipment
  • Collect and complete records needed for daily and weekly site reports
  • Organize and oversee external inspections
  • Work collaboratively with the Foreman and report to the Project Manager
  • Communicating project progress to key stakeholders (ex: client, architects, engineers, etc.) ○ Must have relevant experience in construction or civil engineering as well as appropriate health and safety training

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of HND credit or B.Sc lower division in Architecture, Building or Civil Engineering with 5 year post NYSC experience in a reputable construction company

Relevant Skills:

  • Ability to understand all drawings and contract documents
  • Ability to communicate with, motivate and discipline personnel
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to changes in the work schedule/work plan
  • First aid training and a good understanding of safety procedures

Salary
N50,000 - N80,000 / month.
