  • The Registrar is responsible to the Rector on all administrative matters in the day to day running of the Polytechnic.
  • He is the custodian of all records and interprets its documents, rules and regulations.
  • He is the Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board and all other statutory Committees and performs such other duties as the Council and the Rector may direct.
Qualities of the Registrar
  • The candidate must be a person of impeccable character with the ability to command the respect and trust of both staff and students.
  • He must possess drive, initiative and a clear understanding of the visipn and mission of the Polytechnic.
  • He must also be computer literate and free from any sectional, ethnic or political bias.
  • Candidate should possess at least a good Honours Degree from a recognized University plus NYSC Certificate with at least seventeen (17) years post-graduation working experience or a Master Degree with fifteen (15) years working experience or a Doctorate Degree with twelve (12) years working experIence.
  • Any candidate not from the Polytechnic system need not apply.
Terms of Appointment The appointment is for an initial period of four (4) years and is eligible for re-appointment for another four (4) years only. The salary is CONTEDISS 15. The Officer is also entitled to an official car, a furnished accommodation, a security guard and domestic staff.
