The U.S. Embassy in Abuja is seeking to employ a suitable and qualified
candidate for the position in the General Services Office (GSO):
Job Title: Supervisory Expeditor, FSN-08/FP-06
Location: Abuja
Work Hours: Full-time; 48 hours/week
Basic Function of the Position
- The incumbent supervises the embassy expeditors as they perform
general expediter services of all U.S agencies personnel represented at
post including their dependents, U.S Grantees, TDY and VIP visitors.
- This position schedule the travel expeditors to assist arriving
and departing passengers. She/he may be required to work at night,
weekends and holidays.
Position Requirements

- Completion of Secondary School is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible work
experience in the travel industry, of which at least two years in a
supervisory position is required.

- Knowledge of airline reservation and ticketing procedures and
thorough knowledge of Nigeria’s relevant contact Agencies; Nigerian
Federal Airport Authority (FAAN);
- Nigerian Customs and Immigration clearing procedures, rules,
regulation and familiarity with airlines check-in procedures is
required.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
packages. Level one (1) typing ability (less than 40 words per minute)
is required.
- Incumbent must have good customer service and a valid professional driver’s license.

Job Title: Financial Analyst/Auditor - FSN-10/FP-05 (Step 5)

Basic Function of the Position
- Under the supervision of the Senior Financial Management
Specialist, the incumbent is responsible for the full range of financial
analysis functions for assigned strategic/development grants.
- The job holder is the primary representative of the CDC finance
team to assigned cooperative agreements and performs comprehensive
financial reviews and analysis of implementing partners and Federal
Ministry of Health business systems with cooperative
agreements/projects.
- The incumbent as a senior technical professional provides the
technical team, the CDC implementing partners/contractors and CDC
management team financial support and technical advice.
Position Requirements

- Completion of University Degree or its equivalent in Accounting,

or financially oriented business management, of which 3 years must be
experience in auditing is required.

- Thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of accounting and
generally accepted accounting principles and standards and knowledge of
government auditing standards is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of
government and nongovernmental business institution with regard to
financing, accounting, budgeting and reporting is required.
- Advanced personal computer skills with experience using word
processing and spreadsheets and intermediate level experience in data
analysis and data entry is required.

Job Title: Communications Specialist - FSN-10/FP - 05/5
Location: Abuja

Basic Function of the Position
- As the lead communications officer, the incumbent develops and
implements a comprehensive communications program for CDC Nigeria to
promote public understanding of CDC programs and accomplishments. She/he
plans and coordinates the dissemination of information relating to the
organization’s programs, objectives and functions through various media.
- This position provides communications supports for multiple
public health programs, including but not limited to PEPFAR, PMI,
Immunizations and Global Health Security.
Position Requirements

Job Title: Voucher Examiner FSN-07

Basic Function of the Position
- The incumbent examine and process vouchers and invoices of
multi-million dollar, long term technical assistance contractors and
grantees both direct and host country, for USAID project and non-project
activities and administrative operations, recommending for payment or
indicating required clarification or justification.
- The job holder control and monitor payment requests and
disbursements for USAID project and non-project activities and
administrative operations. These include but are not limited to vouchers
for purchase orders, contracts, travel and shipping documents.
Position Requirements

Basic Function of the Position
- Under the supervision of the Motor pool Supervisor, the
incumbent carefully and responsibly drives an official vehicle to
various locations in Abuja, and on some occasions, to other cities in
Nigeria.
- She/he drives Embassy personnel, visitors or cargo to various
locations including ministries, embassies, and other businesses
organizations.
Qualifications Required
