Job Description
- Systematically analyze and early identify market and customer trends for relevant business.
- Conduct market, competitor and customer analyses for strategy development and tactical sales.
- Create strategic marketing concepts for each product incl. positioning in market and towards competition.
- Evaluate the performance of the sales workers
- Represent Siemens at Trade associations, conventions and meetings to promote products
- Provide quotation and conduct contract negotiations, incl. systematic documentation and communication of the negotiation results, to ensure achievement of the planned volume of new orders in line with the stipulated positive margin.
- Timely and complete provision of the requisite inputs for processing proposals as well as conducting the LoA process for all binding proposals to ensure high proposal quality that entails minimum risks.
- Frequent visits to the decision-makers of our customers and business partners to cultivate relationships (preliminary acquisition)
- Sales of PD/DF equipment with specific customers
- Sales Consulting
- Sales support/Administration
- Experience in power supply business.
- Experience in sales activities.
- Team supervisory experience

Position Overview/Summary
- This position is responsible for assisting & providing leadership and direction to the Service Centre personnel.
- The Deputy Workshop Manager works closely with the Repair Centre Manager to ensure Siemens goals and objectives are met and accomplished.
- This position is also responsible for setting strategies to grow the Services business.
Position Responsibilities and Duties
Key Responsibility 1: Safety, Quality, and the Environment:
- Responsible for creating a safe and friendly work environment
- Responsible for ensuring quality and safety companywide and ensuring environmental policies are being followed by all personnel
- Works safely and adheres to all policies and procedures
- Responsible to attend and participate in all safety meetings
- Responsible for completing Safety Reporting (i.e.: BBAs), ensuring Services Team completes required Safety Reporting, and correcting any safety concerns observed
- Understands and adheres to the Siemens safety culture and environment
- Responsible for supporting Services Team by understanding processes and provide training on job flow processes and systems
- Ensures Services Team is following proper processes and procedures in completion of work
- Coordinates manpower for the Repair Centre including shop personnel and support personnel
- Manages tracking of project execution schedule
- Identifies new equipment requirements to improve efficiency and AFE creation
- Responsible for ensuring Services Team follows local and corporate policies and procedures
- Evaluates shop assessments and ensures and Workshop Technicians are completing appropriate paperwork
- Responsible for tracking on-time deliveries and ensuring client quality specifications are being adhered to
- Responsible for understanding of the margins and expectations of the different product lines
- Responsible for the liaison with clients and Siemens and is directly involved in improving relationships with customers as needed
- Responsible for ensuring communication on technical requirements of repairs are of high standard and meeting both internal and external customer needs
- Involved directly in Client discussions, as required
- Facilitates quality and safety discussions with clients.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
Required:
- Bachelor's degree minimum, preferably in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or related field
- 5 years of related industry experience required
- Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, MS Office, Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat)
- Familiarity and experience with reciprocating, rotating equipment and gas turbine repairs is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong decision making skills with the ability to make difficult decisions
- Familiar with invoicing practices with an understanding of margins and quoting
Preferred:
- Excellent customer liaison and relationship skills
- Ability to empower and motivate staff
- Excellent performance management skills
