We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:     Job Title: Senior Crane & Marine Equipment Engineer Req ID: Req-1386 Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Description

  • To prepare all methods support and implementation of practice documents regarding preventive maintenance, inspections and testing to be performed on fleet cranes based on recognized best practice and applicable regulations.
  • To prepare and develop specifications for new cranes and lifting equipment based on recognized international standards.
  • Co-ordinate planned crane maintenance activities fleet-wide.
  • Manage specialized crane maintenance vendors
  • interventions and contracts (BLM, Hydralift, Aero, Sparrow, Mape) within SMC frame agreements (including technical scope of work) where applicable.
  • Ensure the implementation and assurance of Company integrity management system compliance.
  • Liaise with classification societies/third party design offices where applicable.
  • Support JV asset installations for all related crane issues (specifically for new cranes, specification for upgrades and heavy lift works on cranes).
  • Liaise with crane manufacturers when required.
  • Participate in and/or lead investigations for all crane related incidents across the fleet.
  • Interface with JV asset HSEQ Department for all crane related issues.
  • Liaise with JV asset staffing regarding all related training issues and certification for crane operators.
  • Supervision, until completion, of 5-years major overhauls in all JV asset installations cranes.
  • Follow spare parts stocks with Warehouse and Procurement.
  • For all cranes, Winches (Food, Turbines, boat, etc.) & Work boat, Survival Craft, Lifeboat, life rafts, davits:
    • Review/Produce Maintenance Plan as per Vendor recommendations.
    • Review/Correct/Create corrected BOMs in SAP, establish MRP parameters.
    • Ensure equipment are certified by third parties.

  • Formal education: B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering (2.1).
  • Professional experience (number of years): 15 years experience with:
    • Technical knowledge and experience in hydraulic power transmission and control systems.
    • Proven experience working with heavy machinery/equipment.
    • Extensive experience within maintenance, fault finding, build and procurement of equipment projects.
  • Team management skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Proficiency in English language.

    Job Title: Senior Corrosion Engineer Req ID: Req-1387 Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Description
  • Manage planning and execution of Corrosion Inspection activities for all JV Field Operation in Offshore and Onshore locations.
  • Define/review the Corrosion Management document which describes the organization, responsibilities and accountabilities, tasks, programs, procedures and guidelines.
  • Prepare/ implement preventive actions for corrosion mitigation i.e. engineering, physical and chemical treatments, cathodic protection, metallic or non-metallic material selection, painting & coating and process modification.
  • Perform corrosion studies with the aim of ascertaining or improving the integrity of production facilities.
  • Investigate and analyze facility malfunctions vis-à-vis integrity requirements from the stand point of corrosion
  • evolutions and in liaison with the Inspection Engineers, propose solutions to reduce corrosion velocity and prevent repetitions of the problem, and report same to the Inspection Manager.
  • Work in liaison with Operation team and/or accredited third party as may be directed by the Inspection Manager to plan, schedule, and execute corrosion surveys/studies, and recommend necessary remedial actions.
  • Contribute in defining external resources requirement for the Corrosion Department.
  • Feed and update Company databases requiring corrosion expertise input like Fame +.
  • Liaise with construction teams to review and recommend corrosion mitigating measures in the early phases of engineering and during the project execution phase.
  • Define the scope of work, budget, and planning for corrosion monitoring, cathodic protection, painting and prevention campaigns.
  • Prepare corrosion methods, management systems, tools, planning, contracts and cost control of corrosion activities.
  • Prepare / implement corrosion monitoring activities, i.e. follow up chemical injection rates, cathodic protection, coupons and corrosion probes, ER probes, chemical analysis, bacterial counts.
  • Review corrosion monitoring and inspection results regularly and assess together in view of providing a global evaluation of integrity. In this case, study laboratory and treatment reports in relation to asset inspection and integrity management.
  • Propose new chemical treatments or adjustments in the existing ones.
  • Prepare and follow cathodic protection monitoring and surveys: scope of work, call for tender, execution follow up, interpretation of results.
Personnel Profile
  • B.Sc.in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Material & Metallurgy Engineering).
  • Higher qualification in Corrosion Engineering (MSc or NACE Snr Corrosion Technologist).
  • 15 years experience in corrosion engineer’s functions, preferably in the oil and petrochemical industry, at least 3 of which must be in a general asset inspection management position.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Cathodic Protection and or Coating Inspectors Certification by a recognized body (i.e. BGas / NACE) would be an advantage.

    Job Title: Senior Electrical & HVAC Engineer Req ID: Req-1385 Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Description
  • Provide technical support to the JV site maintenance teams for Electrical/HVAC equipment, acting as focal technical authority with regard to Electrical/HVAC equipment engineering and providing expert technical advice.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of complex or recurring electrical problems, which require analysis and resolution with the help of other departments, vendors or original equipment manufacturer OEM, and recommend sound and cost effective solutions.
  • Prepare cause tree failure analysis for equipment breakdown and issue relevantrecommendations.
  • Administer the planned preventive maintenance program for Electrical/HVAC equipment and ensure that the maintenance tasks undertaken are adequate to prevent unplanned equipment failure.
  • Lead and advise the development and planning of Electrical/HVAC equipment modifications and improvement projects, to ensure their safe, cost-effective and timely execution in accordance with established Company standards and specifications.

  • Validate/Review/Prepare individual equipment risk assessment through FAME+.
  • Review & Approve/Interpret & Convert FAME+ assessment result into complete inspection plan in SAP/UNISUP.
  • Prepare/Update/Validate export facilities consumables (hose, etc.) replacement & procurement plan to ensure the optimum availability of the facilities for export operation.
  • Review and Update/Prepare complete inspection plan (Equipment, scope, schedule, resources, inspection method, etc.) in SAP.
  • Review & Validate/Develop & Update/Contribute in the preparation of the department annual and mid-term inspection planning.

    Job Title: Senior Plc Engineer Req ID: Req-1383 Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Description
  • Schedule and carry out Bi-monthly PM’s on all sites, perform extraction and analysis of all Site operational alarms.
  • Completion of all Site Modificatiom Request (SMR) activities related to PLC packages.
  • Ensure all PLC modification register on all sites are up to date.
  • Perform catography of all PLC Package equipment and submit to Head of Instrumentation/ICSS for validation

  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance team and act as the focal point for PLC matters.  Provide expert technical reports to the Head of Instrumentation/ ICSS, Head of Site Maintenance and other departments.

  • Preparation (spare parts, manpower, tools, and procedures) of levels 3 to 5 maintenance intervention applicable to PLC units, and other automation packages which are integrated with the ICSS systems.
  • Regular review of reliability and maintainability of existing systems, implementation of upgrades and retrofits to address obsolescence.
  • Supervise the execution of specific maintenance contracts applicable to Package systems and ensure the optimal usage of contracted resources towards achieving 100% availability.
  • Liaise with vendors and the original equipment manufacturers for all queries regarding maintenance modifications, spare parts, drawings and the resolution of technical problems
  • Ensure that all drawings, plans, manual are up-to-date and “as built”, and direct draftsmen to carry out all corrections to reflect any alterations, modifications and additions to electrical equipment systems.
  • Review and check work completed by contractors and site teams, ensure compliance with work satisfactorily completed, make necessary corrections, and submit to the Head of Instrumentation/ ICSS for endorsement and payment processing.
Qualifications Formal Education:
  • B.Sc. in Instrument and DCS Engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering (2.1).
Professional Experience:
  • 15 years experience with industrial discipline, specifically with the oil or petrochemical industries.
  • Personnel would be properly skilled and trained with in-depth knowledge in PLC Ladder Logic programming.
  • Personnel would be properly skilled and trained with in-depth knowledge in Allen Bradley PLC’s, SIEMENS and SCHNEIDER PLC’s.
