Lagos State Ministry of Education recruitment for a Quality Assurance Officer


The Lagos State Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance professional to head its newly established Quality Assurance office under the Ministry of Education. The office will be responsible for strengthening standards and regulation of public and private schools below tertiary level in the State.

Job Description

  • As the Head of the Quality Assurance office, the candidate will oversee the Quality Assurance team of over 500 officers; He/she must have strong leadership skills and able to work collaboratively to resolve quality assurance issues.
  • The candidate will be experienced in developing internal procedures, monitoring plans and managing the day-to-day activities of the team with offices across the State.
  • The candidate will be expected to give the strategic direction for implementation of the Quality Assurance programme of the State and be the focal point on policy matters relating to quality assurance of public and private schools in Lagos State.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • The candidate who should not be more than 55 years of age must posses a minimum of a first degree in Education, with a postgraduate degree in Management, Social Sciences or Humanities from recognized university. A certificate in Quality Assurance and membership of Quality Assurance professional body is desirable.
  • For administrative effectiveness, the candidate will possess excellent IT, communications, report writing and analytical skills.
  • The candidate must be result-oriented and have passion for excellence and ability to support the tasks through his/her knowledge on best practices locally and internationally on Quality Assurance.
  • The candidate will have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification work experience, which should include a minimum of ten (10) years experience of people management and teaching experience often years.
