We are a leading and reputable indigenous non-governmental organization
implementing a comprehensive family-focused HIV/AIDS prevention, care
and treatment programe in partnership with the different tiers of the
Government of Nigeria. We currently require the services of resourceful,
experienced and dynamic professional to fill the position below:
Job Title: Financial Manager (Operations)
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities
- Incumbent will assist the Associate Director, Finance and
subcontracts to manage the financial aspect of programs including
finance operations, documentation, records keeping and reporting.
- Manage financial operations in the central office, monitor field
expenses per individual grant and ensure compliance with USG rules and
regulation and /or other grant financial management policies, reviews
and ensure implementation of appropriate system and control that provide
for funds accountability, complete documentation and accurate
reporting.
- Maintain an integrated financial system with up-to-date date
from central and state offices for consolidating of information and
reporting.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Ability
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance or its equivalent.
- Working knowledge of USG rules and regulation including HSS grant policy, 45 CFR 74, A122 other donor regulations.
- High level of attention to details in all aspect of work
responsibilities and independent judgement and discretion in completing
assignment.
- Proficient in the use of Accounting software, preferably Tally 9 ERP
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA ot other recognized equivalent.
- At least 7 years' post NYSC experience and 5 years professional
qualification experience in financial operations and accounting,
preferably with at least 3 years of NGO experience in a similar position
in any CDC/USAID funded projects.
Requirements
- Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, computer application and Internet / Email.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Significant amounts of travel may be involved.
- Commitment to an understanding or organisation's vision, value
and principles including rights - based /gender approaches would be
expected.
