Job Title:  Nurses

 
Job Description
  • . Ensure the implementation of the Obstetric/VVF program in Jahun and work toward delivery of quality care in the VVF area in accordance with MSF protocol
  • . In collaboration with MoH and MSF, improve the care in patient stay during pre and post operative period in readiness for discharge
  • . Observe and respect the MSF charter and adhere to the work schedule as per roster
  • . Treat the patient with care and respect, providing good quality care and ensuring privacy and confidentiality
 
Required Skills and Conditions
  • . Nigerian Registered Nursing Qualification with minimum of 1 year of active clinical experience since graduation
  • . Strong work ethic, commitment to humanitarian objectives and patient care
  • . Fluent in spoken and written english and hausa
 
Work Location
Jahun Hospital, Jigawa State
 
Contract
208 working hours per month and roster flexibility required.
 


Job Title:  Midwife
 
Job Description
  • . Ensure all drugs, material and equipment are available at the beginning and end of the shift to enable work to be performed safely
  • . Ensure health education on a regular basis to the inpatients
  • . Apply waste management procedure of Accidental Blood Exposure
  • . Maintain the ward in a clean and hygienic state
  • . Maintain accurate data and record information in OPD register and/or patient charts at all times
  • . Document all care thoroughly and ensure continuity of care through handover
Required Skills and Conditions
  • . Midwife qualification with minimum of 1 year of active clinical experience since graduation
  • . Strong work ethic, commitment to humanitarian objectives and patient care
  • . Motivation, flexibility and capacity to work as a team and in emergency program
  • . Fluent in spoken and written english and hausa (preferably)
 
Work Location
Jahun Hospital, Jigawa State (Nigeria)
 
Contract
  • Full time, unlimited contract duration starting as soon as possible
  • 208 working hours per month and night on call duty.
  • Roster flexibility required
