Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
  • Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
  • Measure and value the work done on site
  • Pay subcontractors
  • Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
  • Select and/or source construction materials
  • Write reports.
  • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
  • Allocate work to subcontractors.
  • Value completed work and arrange payments.
  • Hire and document contractors and subcontractors
  • Act as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineers
  • Keep track of construction materials and inventory
  • Identify potential financial or construction risks
  • Prepare payments for contractors and subcontractors
  • Document progress, materials, and reports on project
  • Advise on property taxes, regulations, and local laws
  • Analyze completed projects to determine ROI and compare costs

Qualifications

  • B.Sc in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum of 7-10 years' site experience in diverse Civil Engineering projects

Other Requirements:

  • Professional certification such as Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (QSRBN) and other Professional bodies will be an added advantage
  • A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the readiness and proper scheduling of approved projects of the company while providing timely reports on project status.
  • Ensure proper resourcing of personnel and non-human requirements to meet the technical demands of a project
  • Serve as a coordinator on assigned projects and ensure corrective actions are taken when deviation from expectation is noticed.
  • Serve as an advocate for compliance to best practices in the construction industry
  • Engage clients to understand their project needs from its philosophy to technical specifications required for execution.
  • Endeavour to carry out relevant assessments required for all levels of projects.
  • Report on potential risks that projects will be vulnerable to
  • Assess approaches used for executing projects to ensure effectiveness of process and efficiency of resources.
  • Champion compliance with professional ethics.
  • Manage a team of technical and support staff on a need basis per project.
  • Endeavour to adopt the use of technology in the discharge of all tasks while ensuring real time access to updates fit for decision making by management.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

  • B.Sc / BA in Civil Engineering or Building Science (HND is acceptable)

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-12 years' site experience in diverse Civil Engineering projects

Other Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit. (Structural analysis skills is an added advantage)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • NSE/COREN registered
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Yola - Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Supervise the work of sub-contractors and give them guidance when needed
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

  • B.Sc / BA in Civil Engineering or Building Science

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years' site experience in diverse Civil Engineering projects

Other Requirements:

  • NSE/COREN registered (PMP certification is an added advantage)

Job Title: Project Architect

Location: Yola - Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design buildings and providing detailed drawings with computer aided design software applications.
  • Interact with relevant construction related professionals to determine the feasibility of assigned projects.
  • Be aware of and comply with legislations that impact on the commencement of projects.
  • Serve as the pivot for the determination of requirements for the execution of a project
  • Visit project sites to ensure compliance to design and influence improved performance.
  • Serve as a member of project management teams set up for specific projects.
  • Adapting building designs to overcome constraining circumstances that occur in the course of project execution.
  • Communicate through the use of timely reports issues related to a project that includes but not limited to proposals, risks, obligations, and contracts.
  • Manage project expectations with relevant project team members.
  • Ensure optimization of resources in alignment with budget.
  • Conduct project reviews to evaluate outcomes of projects against expectations.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of B.Sc in Architecture from a reputable and accredited university.

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience

Other Requirements:

  • High level proficiency in the use of Auto-CAD and SketchUp 3D or any other design application like Revit, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, V-Ray, Flash.
  • Extensive 3D illustration skills in Interior designs, Exterior and Interior Architecture Schemes.
