  • The position of Bursar is a statutory position on tenure appointment for 5 years in the first instance and may be renewed for another 5 years term and no more.
Duties
  • The Bursar shall be the Chief Financial Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Candidate must possess a good honours Degree, HND or its equivalent in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution or Higher learning with at least 21 years cognate experience.
  • Candidates must also show evidence of membership of relevant, profession at Accounting body(ies), including evidence of attendance of a continuous mandatory professional development course.
    Job Title: Chief Internal Auditor Location: Zamfara Responsibilities
  • Supervise, monitor and co-ordinate the activities of Internal Audit Unit;
  • Execute Audit Work Plan - short and long range;
  • Prepare report for management - Annually, Quarterly and other formal reports for action of the Vice Chancellor;
  • Design standard audit programme and review from time to time;
  • Monitor the performance and efficiency of the various functions of the Audit Unit;
  • Prepare memoranda on Audit procedures; and
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor;
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a good Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent from a recognized University;
  • Possess a professionally recognized Accounting and Finance qualifications such as ANAN, ICAN, or ACCA;
  • Twelve (12) years of relevant cognate experience eight (8) of which should be in a University environment.
  • He /she must have reached the position of Principal Internal Auditor and has served waiting period for Chief Internal Auditor;
  • Be competent in relevant computer/ICT and other Accounting Packages; and
  • Possession of relevant higher degrees or postgraduate professional qualifications in the appropriate fields will be an added advantage

  • The College Librarian is a statutory position on tenure appointment for 5 years in the first instance which may be renewed for another 5 years term.
Duties
  • The College Librarian shall be responsible to the Provost for the Administration of the College Library and coordination of Library services in the teaching units of the institution.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Candidates must possess Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) from a recognized institution of Higher learning with at least 18 years cognate experience.
  • Possession of Ph.D will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates must produce relevant publication in journals and textbooks equivalent to that of a chief lecturer plus evidence of registration with professional body(ies).
    Job Title: Director, Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Location: Zamfara Responsibilities
  • To prepare strategic and operational plans for the Information communications Technology (ICT) department to ensure that all necessary tools, processes, services and systems are in place to meet the short- and long term goals of the University;
  • To develop and manage the planning and budgeting for the University’s ICT services and to ensure that resources are used to provide best in class ICT services that are in line with the University’s growth; and
  • To direct, supervises and nurture ICT staff to ensure they fulfill their duties in the ICT function.
  • To ensure development, implementation and maintenance of all policies and infrastructure related to ICT services, including security, management information, web services, library automation, and other network services and resources;
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a good Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • A higher degree and professional certifications such as in networking, software development, hardware, and web development would have added advantages.
  • Fifteen (15) years of relevant cognate experience in a University environment with at least ten (10) years in managerial position.
The Person

  • Must meet the normal waiting period for position of deputy director or equivalent;

Condition of Service The Director shall hold office for a period of five (5) years renewable.   • Supervise, monitor and co-ordinate the activities of Procurement Unit;
  • Prepare a Procurement Plan for the University for the short and long run;
  • Design standard procurement programme and review from time to time;
  • Monitor the performance and efficiency on costs;
  • Prepare report for management - Annually, Quarterly and other formal reports for action of the University management and Vice Chancellor;
  • Prepare memoranda for procurement procedures; and Perform other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a good First degree in Purchasing and Supply, Economics, Marketing, Quantity Survey, Business Administration, Accountancy, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other related field;
  • Bureau for Public Procurement Certificate of conversion to procurement officer cadre is compulsory.
  • He/she must show evidence of leadership qualities, integrity and teamwork;

  • Supervise, monitor and control sub units in the division.
  • Must be able to anticipate security crisis conditions on the campus and take measures.
  • Prepare periodic security report for the management action.
  • Design and prepare standard training programmes for patrolmen and women for periodic implementation.
  • Ensure security surveillance of both on and off campuses residence of the University.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must be a holder of a honours degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with specialized training in the police/armed forces and other related services with (12) years cognate experience. A certificate in specialized security training and or a possession of Master’s degree is an added advantage. Nine (9) years of relevant cognate experience six (6) of which must be in a University environment. He /she must have reached the position of Principal Security Officer II and has served waiting period for Principal Officer I. Or
  • Deputy Super-intendant of Police or equivalent ranks in the Armed Forces with twelve (12) years’ experience plus an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Law, Criminology, Security Studies, Sociology, Social Works or any related discipline.
  • Be competent in relevant computer/ICT literate.
  • Must not be more than fifty (50) years of age.
The Person
  • Must have exhibited in the past, considerable ability, competence, industry and moral integrity;
