Job Title: Service Coordinator
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Division/Department: Workshop/Service Centre
Job Purpose
- The service coordinator is responsible for the timely planning, preparation and coordination of service jobs before, during and after job execution
- He conducts regular site visits followed by detailed reports to facilitate all service activities, including thorough site assessment & surveys, logistics, loading/offloading, tooling, machine shop repair services, material procurement, security checks, community affairs as well as QHSE related issues.
- The service Coordinator also provides any assistance to service technicians including transportation and accommodation.
Description of Duties
- Develop strong customer and local community support
- Provide sales assistance for field equipment problem identification
- Support service technicians in the field when jobs are ongoing
- Working as a Spear head in the field for overhaul/repair projects on Beamco Client sites
- Interact with OEM technical services team and communities where required
- Prepare detailed, professional assessment reports
- Will be involved in total quality management and work in a team environment.
Working Relationship
- Reports Directly to: Workshop Manager
- Directly Supervises:Technicians
Personal Specification
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Technical University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience, preferably in Oil and Gas related field
- Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Process
Experience and Skills Required:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or/and 10 years of field experience.
- Must have motivational skills and a high sense of urgency to recognize equipment and site conditions.
- Technical selling capabilities.
- Inter-personal skills are critical for optimum communications with customers and Beamco technical workshop staff.
- Ability to produce professional reports which are factual, accurate and concise. Conclusions & recommendations must be feasible, economical and based on sound practices and in keeping with company policies and objectives.
- Must be able to work in a team.
- Language skills (English and local dialects) for easier communities negotiations
- Rotating Equipment (Pumps, Compressors, Turbines)
- Valves & actuators
- Hydraulic & Air Filtration Systems
- Very good command of English (spoken and written)

Job Title: Principal Materials & Corrosion Engineer FPSO
Location: Nigeria
Purpose
- The BSW/A Principal Materials and Corrosion Engineer-FPSO will be responsible for the Materials and Corrosion Engineering deliverables of the Dry systems ensuring timely completion to the required quality standards.
- The successful candidate will work in a multi-discipline team of engineers and be responsible for the materials, corrosion and inspection engineering related to the FPSO scope. He/She will prepare and review materials, corrosion and inspection deliverables for the project during tendering, execution and through to handover.
- He/She will also supervise and coach young Materials and Corrosion engineers within the organization.
Scope of Delivery:
- Materials and Corrosion covering all FPSO facilities from vendor selection to design, fabrication, testing, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning.
Accountabilities
The BSWA Principal Materials and Corrosion Engineer-FPSO accountabilities include:
- Drive the implementation of Materials, Corrosion and Integrity (MCI) requirements in the design, fabrication, testing, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the BSWA project. Ensure the final products delivered meets the MCI requirements as well as the project scope of work and specifications.
- Lead the MCI activities during tendering, detail design, fabrication, testing, installation, and support the commissioning in accordance with Company policies and standards.
- Address MCI related technical queries and clarification questions from vendors, support the development of technical evaluation criteria and the technical evaluation of the bids.
- Set up and manage appropriate systems required to assure integrity of the FPSO scope.
- Ensure that all deliverables as defined in the Project Controls and Assurance Plan (PCAP) are completed successfully.
- Drive the materials selection, development of corrosion management strategy and development of inspection plans and work packs for the project.
- Drive the identification, maturation and deployment of value adding new MCI related technologies and innovations to optimise the FPSO scope. Support the testing and qualification of these new technologies.
- Drive the in-country testing of materials.
- Contribute to the development of fit for purpose quality plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) including materials management procedure for the Project.
- Drive the identification and lateral application of MCI related learnings from other projects.
- Provide mentorship and coaching for less experienced staff.
- Contribute to the management of change process to ensure technical integrity, efficiency, and safety of facilities.
- Liaise with the broader materials and corrosion organisation within Shell both locally and globally to ensure up-to-date tools and strategies are applied in the management of materials and corrosion on the project.
- Provide authentic and visible leadership in the areas of HSSE, diversity, interpersonal and technical skills development, and cost leadership.
Experience and Qualifications
- The Principal Materials and Corrosion Engineer - FPSO shall have minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Materials and Metallurgy) with at least 12 years of experience in upstream Exploration and Production (EP) projects with emphasis on Design and Execution in deepwater environment. At least 10 years experience directly related to materials and corrosion.
He/She shall meet the following requirements:
- A COREN registered or registerable engineer
- Technical Professional with good knowledge of FPSO design, fabrication, installation and commissioning and should have played a key role in the delivery of at least one major deepwater project involving FPSO design and installation.
- Able to provide in-depth materials and corrosion expertise required for the design, fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of subsea and pipeline systems.
- Able to work within and interface with mixed teams of professionals located globally.
- Have excellent communication and negotiating skills.
- Previous experience in working with the Nigerian Welding Society will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in testing of materials in-country will be an advantage.
- Team player, self-motivated, with coaching skills, persistence, and with ability to think outside- the-box.
- Visibly demonstrates personal and company HSE commitment.

Job Title: Directional Driller

Job Description
- For one of our Clients, we are looking for Directional Drillers for various projects in Africa
- The Directional Driller would be involved in the planning, execution and management of all phases of any directional drilling job to assist in delivering services that meet or exceed client expectations. Mobility for commuting is required for this position.
- Besides providing technical support at the wellsite, the DD Specialist is also partially responsible for the training and development of any subordinate while at the wellsite.
Responsibilities
- Manages personal development and stay informed on current technologies and strategies
- Responsible for training, coaching and mentoring less experienced DD’s following the fixed step training program
- Follows the fixed step training program and competency requirements (if applicable)
- Meets and maintains all minimum OFS Safety Training Coefficient (STC) requirements as well as job related STC
- Mentors less experienced personnel
- Responsible for pre-job planning (equipment and personnel) and mobilization (when necessary)
- Demonstrates knowledge of all DD techniques and all surveying methods used in the location
- Develops expertise on advanced well planning techniques using Drilling Office
- Documents all incident / accident events on the job and at the office in Quest
- Assist in providing solutions to drilling issues
- When necessary prepare or assist with the preparation of end of well reports / Client’s final product delivery
- Acts as the Client’s focal point for drilling operations at the rig site
- Effectively manages inventory and supplies required at the well site
- Participates actively in knowledge sharing
- Ensures all reporting requirements are fulfilled accurately and on a timely basis
- When necessary assist with follow up on failures with the maintenance team and ensures failure reports are closed with Clients
- Follows and complies with all SQ, HSE and IT standards ie: by wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- When required, prepare projection of the well path to pre-determine target co-ordinates
- When necessary, advise on directional operations, good practice, job execution and overall performance
- Work closely with others (Engineers, specialist and Client representatives) to achieve the job requirements and to carry out job handovers.
