Job Title: Inbound Sales Representative

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

About the Inbound Sales Representative Role

  • As an Inbound Sales Representative, you’ll drive Paystack’s growth engine by building relationships with prospective clients and turning them into happy Paystack customers. You’ll handle the full sales cycle for mid-sized enterprises and corporates. You'll own the relationship and be the main point of contact with merchants who will be instrumental to Paystack’s future growth, identify new business opportunities, and work to increase the market share and adoption of Paystack within your target sectors.
  • In terms of the profile we seek: you're an adept salesperson seeking to build a long-term career in sales. You're capable of engaging in business-level conversations and comfortable having high-level technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization. You have an understanding of the buyer journey and can lead relatively long, single stakeholder deals in a highly consultative manner. You understand how to communicate value to differentiate competing product offerings and enjoy working on products that require deep product knowledge, combined with technical knowledge.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Inbound Sales Representative, you’ll:

  • Manage the inbound lead activity in your assigned territory, qualify active buying interest and close deals.
  • Execute outbound campaigns to generate a pipeline of business which you will be responsible for closing.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop account plans to stimulate opportunity.
  • You will collaborate with your field Sales Associates and Sales leadership to discuss and strategize methods to penetrate targeted accounts, with the goal of setting up and executing quality meetings.
  • Uncover competition and run displacement campaigns.
  • Schedule and deliver demos for potential customers.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Sales Associate, you’ll:

  • Manage the sales cycle from pipeline generation to close, for corporates and multi-nation enterprises to deliver on an annual revenue quota (target)
  • Receive qualified inbound sales opportunities and drive them to a close. You'll work closely with Technical Product Specialists and Key Account Managers to convert these requests
  • Own a named account list and develop demand-generation plans for creating, nurturing, winning and expanding business within your target sectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and operational teams both within and outside Paystack.

What it takes to succeed at this role

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the software, financial and/or technology sectors with a track record of top performance
  • Able to understand complex technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple products
  • Strong ability to drive sales engagements via the phone and online, sustaining focused conversations to achieve a clear objective
  • Able to build trust and credibility by providing accurate information and guidance to prospects regarding Paystack’s products and solution capabilities
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in technology.

While this is NOT strictly required, it would be a plus if you:

  • Have previous experience in the banking, payments, or the payment cards industry

Job Title: Treasury Officer

Location: Lagos

About the Treasury Role

  • We are looking for a dynamic and critical thinking professional who can provide experienced support to the Treasury team lead and supervise junior team members, having a proven ability to work with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will need to be an independent, high achieving individual, able to stand out in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Paystack is a fast-growing company, expanding rapidly across Africa. This role will involve supporting our treasury operations as we scale.
  • Your primary duties will include assistance with daily treasury management, including building systems and processes to manage liquidity, processor receivables and merchant settlement reconciliation, liaising with 3rd party providers (e.g. Banks), resolving merchant queries, and producing daily and monthly reporting as required.
  • You should have an in-depth understanding of transactional payment processes, be solution oriented and apply a high level of rigor and attention to detail to your work, be able to multi-task and reprioritize workstreams according to rapidly changing developments, and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • This role is full-time and will be based in any of our offices in Africa - Accra, Cape Town, Abidjan, or Lagos. Please ensure you are permitted to legally work in your preferred location as Paystack will not provide a work visa. You will report to our Treasury Team Lead.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design systems and data flows to support Treasury’s fund flows in our various markets
  • Liaise with Accounting, Engineering, and other internal teams to ensure timely settlements and appropriate checks and balances
  • Build custom reports to track key metrics on a daily and monthly basis
  • Empower other team members with data, and investigate business questions
  • Conduct deep dive analysis addressing key business questions and presenting them to stakeholders
  • Develop and implement Treasury policies, procedures, and controls
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in our processes
  • Managing bank and processor relationships
  • Support overall department goals and objectives
  • Fulfil other ad-hoc finance requests as requested by management.

What it takes to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or Management
  • You have a minimum 5 years of finance experience within a multinational business or top tier Investment Bank
  • You have the ability to turn large data sets into meaningful insights
  • You are highly proficient in MS Excel
  • You have fantastic written and spoken communication skills
  • You are able to work collaboratively across departmental functions
  • You have a strong knowledge of risk management and banking relationships
  • You have the appetite to jump headfirst into a fast-moving, fast-growing, mission-driven team that values creativity and output
  • A demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with a high attention to detail.

While this is NOT strictly required, it would be a plus if you:

  • Have previous experience in the banking, payments, or credit card industry
  • Have experience with SQL
  • Have experience in a high-growth start-up.
