Job Title: Experienced Fibre Engineer

Job Ref: EFE
Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and create fit for purpose and cost-effective fibre optic to include topology layout, fibre splice plans, cable duct and routing, and where applicable. utilising Openreach PIA.
  • Work in accordance to Company Quality, Safety and Health processes and procedures
  • Coordinate the production of construction and cabling work packages for internal or external teams.
  • Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders, internal, external and local authorities to ensure effective implementation of the infrastructure and react to any changes.
  • Coordinate projects, execute processes, and ensure successful project completion.
  • Development of the project execution plan.
  • Assist with scheduling project tasks and keeping the project deliverables up to date with accurate information.
  • Support all levels of the organization by generating and analysing program/project data using standard reporting tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables and be accountable for standardizing reporting formats and statistical analysis methodologies.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Should have knowledge of all trenching methods Normal trenching. HDD, Thrust Boring.
  • Should have knowledge on Duct integrity test. Cable Blowing / Pulling and Hand holes.
  • Ability to carry out test with OTDR and Laser Source Power Meter and analyse the results.
  • Serve as custodian of as built, diagrams and other related documents for fixed & mobile network.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of first Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or any other related field.
  • A Post Graduate degree in Engineering, or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years cognate experience in fibre optic operations.
  • Experience working with Fibre Optic projects.
  • Vast knowledge in live network splicing and testing.
  • Should have an understanding of SDH / PDH / DWDM technology.

Job Title: Management Trainee - Fibre

Ref: MT-F
Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installing, preparing and troubleshooting fibre optic cable and systems.
  • Provide maintenance instructions to the customers and other personnel
  • Prepare the mechanical connections and the fibre optic for fusion splicing
  • Responsible for modifying the circuitry to improve the cables performance
  • Maintain the necessary equipment and devices required for fibre optic cutting
  • Set up services for new customers and maintain the existing equipment Identify and resolve any issues related to the lines and network.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Second Class Upper in Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline from a Top- Notch University.
  • A Postgraduate degree or professional certification in Telecommunication or Engineering Field will be an added advantage.
  • Must have completed NYSC.
  • Not more than 30 years of age.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Telecommunications.
  • Must be prepared to work in any part of Nigeria.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Experienced Roll-Out Manager

Job Ref: ERM
Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the network planning unit in developing, implementing and overseeing roll-out programmes for the Company.
  • Coordinate, control and analyse the cost- benefit of potential and actual site coverage and implement agreed action plans.
  • Advise and recommend improvements on sites for coverage and capacity growth of the Company’s network.
  • Collate all data within specified area and analyse for management reporting purposes.
  • Interface and manage Government regulatory agencies on Roll-Out Sites’ construction and operation.
  • Resolving community-related issues which may affect Roll-Out programmes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of first Degree in Engineering. Surveying, Estate Management or any other related field.
  • A Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in site acquisition and/or site building
  • Experience working in a Telecoms environment either with clients or vendors.
  • Project Management and negotiation skills.
  • Good Information Technology skills.

Job Title: Fibre Operations Officer

Job Ref: FOO
Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve, repair and install fibre optics systems and ensure that they work properly.
  • Examine and replace faulty and old fibre optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance routines in stipulated time line (MTTR).
  • Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fibre optic problem areas.
  • Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections to make sure that faulty fibre optic system does not destabilize its performance.
  • Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements.
  • Formulate and maintain system records and system designs.
  • Should have hands on experience to operate OTDR, Splicing Machine, Laser Source and Power meter.
  • Should have ability to identify fibre fault and analyze the fibre traces.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of a first Degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in installation and maintenance of fibre optic systems including fibre preparation and splicing.
  • Expertise in maintaining existing cables, including evaluation tests and repairing old or malfunctioning cables.
  • Good understanding of the types of cable. cable colour codes and other cabling technique.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of primary specifications and parameters.
  • Right of Way (ROW) experience will be an added advantage.
