Job Title: Investment Advisor
Location: Maryland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by ensuring that prospective clients open accounts in addition to giving information to clients to enable them trade as often as possible.
  • Write proposals and where necessary, go out for marketing after due consultation with the head of sales and document all outgoing proposals, profiles and other documents.
  • Serve as a personal wealth creation partner to clients by helping them create a plan to achieve their goals while driving the business to profitability.
  • Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets, reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.
  • Dormant account reactivation by following up with clients to know their specific needs and helping them get back to investing.
  • Make recommendation to prospective clients on the products and services available.
  • Educate clients on different investment types, assess the level of aggressive required while making investment decision as it relates to purchase of stocks.

Educational Qualification and Functional Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following discipline (Business Administration, Marketing or Business Management), or management related course
  • Knowledge of MS word, Excel, Presentation
  • Aptitude in decision-making and negotiation skill
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and relationship management skills at high level
  • Environmental / Industry analysis
  • Knowledge of business management principles and how to convert leads to sales.
  • Communication skills; ability to use business language and mannerism
  • Must be enlightened and forward thinking individual

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years track record as in sales and operations
  • Experience using data to illustrate business conclusions
  • Ideally 2 years prior experience working in the financial sector preferably stock brokerage
  • Prior experience in relationship management.
