Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the company's financial, operational, and compliance controls to ensure that they are functioning effectively and efficiently.
Review and analyze internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Identify areas of potential fraud by analyzing financial transactions and identifying areas of potential weakness in the company's internal controls.
Report audit findings and recommendations to management and the audit committee to assist in improving the company's overall operations and financial performance.
Monitor and report on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure corrective actions have been taken.
Develop and execute an annual audit plan to ensure that all critical functions of the organization are audited regularly.
Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure that the company's audit function remains current and effective.
Examine the company’s financial statements to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Review and assess the company’s risk management process to ensure that the organization’s risks are being effectively managed.
Conduct audits of key business processes and financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
