We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Human Resources Officer

Location: Opebi, Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the HR Manager and line Managers to obtain new staff requests and requirements.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates through various external sourcing methods
  • Schedule qualified candidates for interviews and selection process.
  • Conduct and monitor the induction and orientation of new employees
  • Assist in developing job descriptions and performance indicators for new hires.
  • Prepare and collate monthly Salary Payrolls for the factory and all the showrooms using MS Excel.
  • Prepare the schedule for the payment of terminal benefits for staff that resigned or whose employment is terminated.
  • Manage probationary period and confirmation of new hires
  • Handle Performance Management of staff by collating information on recommendations in all performance appraisals and reports to the HR Manager
  • Direct the conduct of reference and background checks for new employees
  • Facilitate prompt resolution of grievance cases among employees
  • Coordinate the investigation of disciplinary issues and violations of company policies
  • Manage and maintain staff files and other employee information
  • Maintain an up-to-date human resource information database and ensures the availability of required reports to facilitate decision-making
  • Assist in conductingtraining on compensation, payroll, employee relations and welfare to ensure understanding by all staff
  • Respond to employee queries/ enquiries on welfare/ benefits
  • Prepare and submits reports on all HR operational activities to the HR Manager
  • Coordinate the production of training materials for in-house courses in collaboration with training facilitators
  • Manage training delivery and conducts post-training assessments, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Handle Performance Management of staff by collating information on recommendations in all performance appraisals and reports to the HR Manager
  • Drive the development of knowledge management systems
  • Conduct workforce profiling based on grades, age, experience, level of education etc.
  • Prepare and communicate procedures for the administration of staff benefits and welfare schemes such as leave, pension, health benefits etc. to ensure common understanding by all employees
  • Liaise with external bodies/ service providers e.g., HMOs, CUG
  • Any other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND / B.Sc Degree in any Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration or Law discipline.
  • Professional certification in Human resources from any of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Nigeria, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) USA, or Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) UK is an added advantage.
  • 3 - 4 years cognate experience in an HR role.
  • Highly proficient with MS suite, especially Excel.
  • Able to resume immediately
